We had harvest festivals back home, but nothing quite like Halloween. Would someone care to explain it? I quite enjoy hearing what different people have to say about it.

I finally got the pumpkins at the bookstore just right. Finicky bit of spellwork, but if anyone wants to have a conversation with a jack-o-lantern, they should manage now.

If someone could tell me what in the world is going and where I am, that would be great. If I'm late for lunch again I'm never going to hear the end of it.

I apologize to any people, cows, sheep, llamas, very large birds, or various other animals I might have startled recently. I don't mean to cause anyone concern.

However, please refrain from pounding on my door at eight in the morning to inform me that I live in a very large walking house. I am fully aware of this, there is no need to point it out to me, and any business can be conducted at a civilized hour.

They're not as impressive as an old friend of mine would have grown, but I seem to have more tomatoes than even I can cook. Anyone want any? Legolas? Ignis? Assorted local teenagers? Anyone? I hate to see food go to waste, though I suppose I can learn how to pickle or preserve them. Tomato jam, maybe.

I'm not sure what I'm more impressed with myself for, that I managed to bake cookies without burning the house down, or that they're actually good.

This place is actually real? Really real?

So like, is there some perimeter that keeps them away? Or febrezey zombie-repellent...
