Well, that was an interesting week.

The office is pure chaos right now. I don't know how anyone expects me to accomplish anything when I had to send half my staff home for the day. At least we don't need to plan any major events right now.

Guesses for how long this lasts?

This place gets more interesting the longer I stay.

I suppose it was foolishly naive to ask that this month be minimally eventful.

Is it true there aren't any demons here? How do you keep them away?

Well. Flying jellyfish are a new one, though I must say they're a damn sight better than flying cows.

Who do I speak to about the blatant false advertising of this planetside Wonderland? And where on god's topsy-turvy Earth does a man find a decent drink?

It's always bloody rabbits. I'm now thoroughly convinced they're worse than dragons.

Whew, I thought I got away from the snow coming here, but look who's sadly mistaken once again! This isn't nearly as bad as Berk, though, I will say that. My name is Hiccup and I've been someplace kind of like this before, so here we go again!

As fate would have it, the timing isn't absolutely terrible. I'm still mobile where it might be pretty dangerous for anyone to be driving around here soon. If anyone needs a ride or urgent supplies of any sort, I've got Toothless and we can still fly.

On that note, please don't be alarmed by the giant, black dragon flying around town. That's just me and Toothless. I know he looks sort of scary, but he would sooner slobber on you than hurt you.

PS: Don't let him slobber on you, it literally never comes out of anything it touches, take it from me.

Well. I hadn't planned to start my day needing a kiss from a total stranger to exit the cafe, but here we are. The poor man looked quite startled about the entire thing; I do apologize for that, if you happen to read this. I was just as surprised. Still, not the weirdest morning I've had by any means.

Apparently rogue mistletoe is a thing now. Holidays are quite interesting around here, aren't they?

Speaking of, I hope everyone is enjoying the festival. The cold weather is well worth it, I promise. Everyone involved is quite proud of it this year, and rightfully so.

For clarification, since some concern has been raised: no, those aren't real ghosts roaming the downtown area. They're clever bits of spellwork (thanks to yours truly and a couple other talented magic users) to help set an appropriately spooky mood for the week. No spirits were harmed or souls disturbed in their creation.

On that note, please don't try to harm spirits or disturb souls this Halloween. All it does is show poor taste and a lack of sense.
