Plus school has officially gone out the window for now, between losing textbooks and everything else I'm not seeing the point till at least the spring.

That was what I needed, a night out of the hotel and away from the booze. Think you can keep me in check and not slip back into drink into a haze for now?

I suggest we give this till the end of the week and make a decision one way or the other.

Do we say something publicly, prove ourselves on our own terms or do we deny it and let those of us that can, try to contain this?

If we go public, We'd have more resources for the war but we'd also make them targets. Untrained and unready, dangerous.

On the other hand, if they believe Loki is real, or I'm real or any number of us...they'll look into our very well documented histories and they'll know what we can do.

We all know what that will start. At least I know what I'd do if the roles were reversed back home

I know we've got people hooking each other up with food and board, but what about all that other stuff that people need? Clothes? Phones? Replacements for some of the essentials that got blasted to bits when everything went all explodey?

If you're like me, you're not made out of money, so getting all that stuff back is likely to be tough going. Fortunately for you, if there's anyone who knows how to survive without a wad of green in their pocket, it's me. I've got a certain knack for picking up items on the DL and I can do it for you guys if you tell me exactly what it is you need.

So? Any takers? Bueller?

Okay, using what I could of Rose's funds, I've booked some hotel rooms for the next four days at a number of hotels/motels around town. It's not a lot of rooms, but its something and since the Complex is obviously a no-live zone, I figure having space for people to live would be a good idea.

Let me know if you want to claim a room. We're probably going to be trying for more than one person in a room.

Now that I've basically spent the last 3 days asleep its time to make a few plans.

1. Since I'm going back to school part time I need a cover story to explain not being from the area. Only thing I can think of is family crisis out of state but it is believable? Also need to decide on a couple of classes: current plan is one required class and one fun class.

2. Facing the demons like a grown up. I looked up a few things online and well I have my theories brewing if that makes sense?

3. Eventually not drinking to drown the pain, work in progress.

Anyone else planning on getting grandly hammered? Because for the first time in over a week sleeping is actually in the cards.

Yes I know I can't live like this and things have to be faced, but for right now let me actually sleep then I'll be a good girl and face my demons like an adult.

At least for one day the nightmares of masks and seeing friends killed will go away. Then the booze will be changed to homeopathic options unless there are other options to consider?

Because right now everything hurts.

Let me actually sleep then we can talk 90s lesson plans? Because there are a few things that are musts like boy bands, bad teen movies and of course the awful fashions (yes I see it differently since I learned in a hurry post seal grab).

(small ooc: Sidney's not really slept in over a week (outside of really brief naps) thanks to no booze to knock the nightmares of Ghostface flat, people are free to notice. After this she'll become a grown up who actually starts facing her demons but all she needs is a gentle push to do that. After all she's not an addict, she's just been through too much.)

Once this little nightmare is over I'm drinking till I'm numb again.

The nightmares are not going away, Ghostface is even in my dreams the rare times I can sleep. Not in the mood for the lectures I know I coming, I just want the pain to go away long enough that I can sleep.

The sooner the stupid seal gives back my beer the better it will be.

I hope everyone that went had a blast at laser tag yesterday. Also, don't worry Team Bon Jovi, you'll get a chance to try to kick our fabulous butts the next time we play. Which really, this has potential to be at least a monthly thing.


Rose! If I get the field trip forms filled out can I plan an excursion to a farm that's only a few minutes out of town? Let the kids enjoy some good old fashioned horseback riding?

If she does agree to this I'm so gonna need chaperoning help. Anyone want to visit a farm and ride horses? It looks like you can also milk cows and stuff but I'll stick to the horse part.

No booze means nightmares.

Booze and coffee? What the hell? What are we supposed to do with ourselves?

Ok this is not cool! My bacon is gone (only had a few strips for a bacon cheeseburger) plus all my soda and coffee along with pretty much my whole stash of candy and cookies!

ETA: My beer is gone too! Not being able to numb the nightmares will not be pretty.

Now that I have a job, which is not only normal but a lot of fun, I'm also thinking about another step. I want to go back to college, had taken time off after everything with Ghostface in order to simply deal. But with the nightmares and ongoing fallout is it a good idea, wait till fall or simply go part time while the rest gets faced?

Plus I'll be the other half of team 90's for the pop culture classes, now this will be fun!

Okay so since it was actually kind of a hit when I mentioned it, I'll be a bit more serious this time. Who's actually into this pop culture class idea? And who wants what decade? Dibs on the 90s! Just saying. And I think it was Lydia ... or was it Lois... SOMEBODY mentioned we should start with the most recent stuff and work backwards which kind of makes sense, I think. Objections?

If you want to teach this stuff to our fellow displaced, come grab a decade and start putting your stuff together! I'll leave your lesson planning up to you guys :P This is gonna be the best class EVER! I'm so ridiculously excited! H.G., you should join in the fun at some point, just saying.

(ETA) Don't worry if someone went for "your" decade, we can definitely have more than one person covering one decade. Just, y'know, collaborate and make sure you aren't doing the same stuff!

I'm not sure how much more sitting around I can take so I'm looking into jobs and going back to college (come fall, pretty sure its too late for the summer term). So anyone need a good office clerk?
