CHAPTER TWO: The Watch Meeting.

WHO: Everyone within the Watch is allowed to attend.
WHAT: Brett called for a meeting. A meeting is had. They get to discuss the up coming...everything.
WHEN: Afternoon, 4th February, 2208.
WHERE: The Watch safe house.
RATING: TBD.
The house was quiet for a little while, that was until people began to arrive for the meeting. It wasn't a must and it was open to everyone who could make it. Brett was sat atop a kitchen counter, back to the kitchen as she gazed out over the collection of people who had turned up. There was already some chattering going on, people catching up on this and that and Brett let the chatter wash over her, calming her nerves and grounding her some.

The kitchen and dinning room are open plan, a large oak table with numerous mismatched seats sits in the center of the dinning room while french doors, which open out onto a patio, lets in a lot of light.

After a moment she coughed, hopfully loud enough to carry over the noise of the others and shifted in her seat as the noise level dropped enough. "I thought it'd be a good idea to get everyone together after...what happened. We need to talk about the next step, what is going to happen, where we go from here. I don't think any of us expected what we saw, what happened, I know I didn't expect to. So, what do we do about it?"

Please note it is assumed everyone is in attendance from the start. Rather than starting new comment threads please jump into each others. Much easier that way.

CHAPTER TWO. Thread. Helen & Dante.

WHO: Helen & Dante
WHEN: Sunday, February 1st; late at night
WHERE: Non-specific Church
WHAT: Helen has taken to a church to find some peace and to privately cope with the aftermath of the slaughter at Black Velvet...
RATING: PG

She had been in the church for a few hours now, once things had been settled at the hospital and amongst the leaders of The Watch. For much of that time, when with the others, Helen had remained quiet and especially cautious of leaking her true feelings into the Ether. They might have thought her silence was because of the physical pain or general weariness that they all felt, but it was much more than that. These were not feelings she particularly wished to share with them, with any of the people in their group, and so she turned to the one being that Helen knew she could always go to: God. )

CHAPTER ONE. Thread. Helen & Greggory. [Finished.]

WHO: Helen & Greggory
WHEN: Week Four, Tuesday afternoon
WHERE: Greg's Apartment, near the Hospital
WHAT: Upon the discovery of impending war via vision, Helen is rounding up her own troops and turns to a fellow Watcher that has a taste for... dangerous settings.
RATING: TBA

Helen had been able to pass the information on to the Watch as quickly as she possibly could. Somehow, it had not surprised the others. It seemed almost all cities would dissolve into chaos, the elements of the darkness evolving into cannibals. Harper, Stone, Carlyle, and Olsen stood together and discussed what could be done. Given her position and the pack she had chosen to oversee, the woman left the meeting with a purpose: to assemble a small group of Watchers to track Thane Raidan. )

WEEK FOUR. Open to all.

WHO: Everyone.
WHAT: The Elari host an event.
WHEN: Thursday, 8 PM onwards.
WHERE: Black Velvet.
RATING: Unknown. Possibly high.
The club is fuller than usual, a mass of writhing bodies which pretend to be some sort of formal occasion. The supernatural are all on form tonight - it's formals all around. The purpose of this little get-together? Charity? Hardly, it seems to be just because they can. This type's of things are becoming more and more frequent, held by the more prominent demons, vampires or others of Las Vegas. Parties to entertain everyone, to keep Las Vegas the place to be.

Black and white snuggle the club in sharp contrasts, crispy and clean. They've obviously gone all out on this thing. Humans play food and slave amongst the party goers and there is a general feeling of euphoria through out the room - some mood altering demons perhaps?

WEEK THREE. Thread. Helen & Benjamin.

WHO: Helen & Benjamin
WHEN: Week Three, Thursday mornign
WHERE: The University Library
WHAT: Ben is still assembling the library in the way he would like and, always willing to lend a hand to a friend, Helen allows Ben to put her to good use.
RATING: TBA

Today, the thirty-something year-old widowed mother of one looked like anyone else as she pushed the heavy door open and slipped inside the place of traquility and knowledge. A simple black bookbag slung over one shoulder, her hair loose and comfortable over her soft, rose-colored sweater, maybe others would think her a doctoral student. As she passed by a few tables with students hunched over their open texts in deep concentration or light slumber, Helen wondered about their lives for just a moment. Who would ever think that the resident librarian and this homely, down-to-earth looking lady were key in protecting their eyes from all of the evils that went bump in the night--and day? )
