08:56 pm [neuhallidae] [Link]	We need some more awesome up in here! Which, of course, means it's time for a Marvel Adventures: Avengers dump of...uh... roughly 20 pages or so from 14 issues. First off, we have the MA:A appearance of the ones, the onlies, the Agents of Atlas! ( Heh, that was me all right. ) And now, some assorted bits. ( Whatever works. ) And, finally, a little ditty I like to call "Defeat By Squishing!" When Batgirl 1 bites When Jeph Loeb writes When I'm feeling sad I simply read MA Avengers And then I don't feel so bad Alright, so I read through some Marvel Adventures Avengers as research for a Peter/MJ story (Plug! So cheap!) and here are a few things I now know I love. I'd been thinking about picking up Blackest Night: Superman, but man, with Pet Avengers over I needed something fun. Then I had a better thought. I love Avengers: Fairy Tales in so many ways, but by far, my favorite thing about the miniseries is Claire Wendling's gorgeous art on the covers. ( Dark and sinister man, have at thee. ) ETA: Added four assorted pages from the Peter Pan story, because it had my favorite of the art styles. This story began in Marvel Chillers #11. Byrne finishes it in Marvel Team up just a year later. 06:08 pm [drsevarius] [Link]	Tigra/Hood rematch? This is from Newsarama's coverage of Marvel's Dark Reign Panel at FX International. Starting with issue #26, it will be the new Initiative under Norman Osborne, the Hood and the Taskmaster. Gage said he liked the fact that he got to pull out a lot of villains from big name guys, but at the same time, he got to search for obscure villains who weren’t in the handbooks – such as Johnny Guitar and Dr. Sax from the old Dazzler books. Gage said the fun part is writing the villains when they are put into a position where they have to act like heroes. What does a naturally selfish person do when they are put in a position where they have to save lives and risk their own lives in the process? I like exploring what happens to heroes and villains when the roles are switched. And for anyone who remembers when Tigra got a beating from the Hood, Christos said to pay attention, because now the shoe is on the other foot! “She’s coming out of the refrigerator, scratching, clawing, biting – been using my cat as research,” Christos joked, but McCann was quick to add that no cats were harmed in the making of Christos’ book.
