The Final Fate of J. Jonah Jameson Sr.?
So I had decided to do my first ever video review of the Spider-Man "24/7" arc for my website (Shameless plug, shameless plug! Watch the video here.), and in the process made this picture that I wanted to share with you guys.

Clearly past the expiration date... )

Tigra on the prowl ! Roaw. Early John Byrne...
Photobucket

Yikes what an intro ! This just shows how an artist can grow in a short period of time. This story began in Marvel Chillers #11. Byrne finishes it in Marvel Team up just a year later.

Golden Age Wonder Woman
There is no bondage in this story. Seriously, none. It was published in 1949. Marston was dead. He didn't write this story. That's why there's no bondage.

HE RETURNS.
So.

Batman: The Battle for the Cowl has come and gone, and lo, it was a total clusterfuck, as was widely expected.

But.

There was one page in #3 that made me sit up. Made me laugh, made me cheer. I speak of the uncalled-for return of one of the greatest characters of the Bat-mythos.

Of which luminary do I speak? I SHALL TELL YOU.

How about a little NEMO... err, a little LITTLE NEMO?
Getting near the end of the strip's run, this page is from October 12, 1913 (seems like only yesterday). When he switched newspaper syndicates, Winsor McCay strip changed title from LITTLE NEMO IN SLUMBERLAND to IN THE LAND OF WONDERFUL DREAMS.

It's too bad about the way the denizens are drawn (but it gives us the delightful line "Isn't it funny? You can tell a stranger in a city a mile away," as if Nemo's party doesn't stand out). You just have to have some perspective or little from more than a decade or so in the past will be enjoyable. I love the idea of dinosaurs used as elevators, and there is a certain resemblance to McCay's charming Gertie. What I can't figure out is why these guys let Impie tag along them. That child is like the spirit of mischief, he can't go more than a panel or two without stirring up some sort of trouble.

Request, and a little Dada
Okay, first the request:

You don't even have to put up images of it, just for god's sake tell me or link me. There was a webcomic from Watson's POV. Someone put a bit of it up on Scans_daily 1.0. Sherlock Holmes never spoke until the end. The entire time, Watson is crushing on Sherlock. NAME/LINK THAT WEBCOMIC!

For legality, I shall take over the world:

Green Lantern #134: Hal Jordan on Ice
So, one of Dr. Polaris' less inspired death traps involved stealing Hal Jordan's power ring and dumping him at the North Magnetic Pole. I guess shooting him in the head would have been totally out of the question. Before he leaves Dr. Polaris helpfully informs Hal that there is National Geographic sub-station 100 miles away from the spot he's dumping the powerless superhero, but given the intense cold it's really no use trying to make it there. What is Hal to do?

Oh man oh man oh man!
I just got the best book. I just got the best collection of many pages that are held together between two covers. I own many books but this is the one I'm posting about today. Come enjoy it with me.

Also, Photobucket's being really glitchy with the first image and I don't know why. It's supposed to be cropped, but preview isn't showing it that way. Sorry if that causes any confusion.
