A group of specalists, assembled to combat general crime? It'll never work!
once upon a time, Batman realized stemming the tide of crime wasn't a one man fight.
It's never been, really, even for a Batgod- so for a man who's been at the job for 1 1/2 years, it's almost impossible to be effective one hundred percent time.
Criminals like the afro-sporting something-planning Peter Scotta can get lucky, and Batman can't defend himself against that luck. He needs to mitigate that factor with help...
( But no one's helping him, because he can't mitigate people's feelings either... )

With huge thanks to ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) islwyn who encouraged me to go hunting for this, I found it a very enjoyable issue. Please excuse the slight wonkyness of the scans, my scanner hates me.
It's six months after Jason's training began and he's now an officially trained Robin. He's been really happy all day. This is running concurrently with flash-forwards to Bruce searching for Jason when Jason was searching for his mother during A Death In The Family. This little bit with Alfred, Bruce and Jason was what sparked my love for the story, though.

Cat/Bat Stuff
From Legends of the Dark Knight 177-178, I present the moment when Selina learned that Matches Malone was Batman.
Also, Photobucket's being really glitchy with the first image and I don't know why. It's supposed to be cropped, but preview isn't showing it that way. Sorry if that causes any confusion.
