Cat/Bat Stuff
From Legends of the Dark Knight 177-178, I present the moment when Selina learned that Matches Malone was Batman.

Catwoman has picked a fight with a Triad and Batman, because he's Batman and therefore incredibly noisy, is interested. He talks to Oracle, who reminds him that Selina doesn't like it when he messes around in the East End, so he quickly comes up with a solution to that problem.

"I work alone." Selina leaves Matches alone and sets out to complete her mission of finding a group of immigrants stranded in a truck somewhere in Gotham. Bruce as Matches works to get information on the immigrants, while Selina spies on him. They end up finding the girls at about the same time.

The missing girls have been found, but Catwoman's still curious about Matches, whom she doesn't understand. Aware of her confusion, Batman follows Alfred's advice and dresses up as Matches Malone for a final confrontation with Selina.

As he runs off, Selina smiles after him.

Also, Photobucket's being really glitchy with the first image and I don't know why. It's supposed to be cropped, but preview isn't showing it that way. Sorry if that causes any confusion.

I like to think that, in his head, he's justifying his actions by claiming that the Batman needs to know everything that's going on in Gotham, but that Babs knows it's really just an excuse for him to see Selina again.

That's pretty much how I'm reading that as well. Somewhere, Babs is facepalming.

"She doesn't have to know I'm there."

Ah, stalking as Bat-love. Selina would presumably be very pissed if he did play it this way.

There really is a lot of sexual tension in these scenes. Bruce would never slide his hand up Selina's thigh this way if he was Batman, but that's the way someone sleazy like Matches would act.

That would be Bruce WAYNE being incredibly noisy, not Batman. If Batman were incredibly noisy, it'd be something like this:

"OH, HI, YOU GUYS! *punch* YOU GUYS ARE CROOKS, AREN'T YA? *pummel* YOU SHOULDN'T DO THAT, YA KNOW. *wallop* I MEAN, IT'S KINDA A STAIN ON, Y'KNOW, YOUR - HEY! YOU PUNCHED ME! AW, MAN, I'M BATMAN; YOU SHOULDN'T PUNCH ME! NOW I'LL HAFTA PUNCH YOU RIGHT BACK! *uppercut* WHAT WAS I - OH, YEAH, A STAIN ON YER MORAL WHATZISNAME, WHARZISNAME, I'LL GET IT, DON'T TELL ME *sidestep, trip, kick* RIGHT, RIGHT, CHARACTER! MORAL CHARACTER! AND ANOTHER... THING... I... Hey, where's... aw, dammit, they're all knocked out. Now I got no one left to talk to. *kicks a pebble* IT'S NOT FAIR!"
