ETA FROM ASH: The Pokedex can tell you what moves it has! Just...pretend there is a button there for moves/abilities. In the anime they look up strange moves they've never seen before :|d The Pokedex may also spout random but useful stuff (like how it told Ash that some Pokemon (Pikachu) don't like being in balls, and that stupid trainers can be easily tricked by wild ones). HOWEVER your Pokedex will only reveal your team's pokemon's moves because that wouldn't be fair.
