The Valentine's Day party was amazing. I am still recovering. I think my favorite part was watching people at the photo booth! I wonder when the town will be back to normal though? It's weird having to squeeze by people making out in the produce section.

Guess what? It's It's Macaron Monday! So this morning and afternoon I am making pistachio, chocolate, vanilla, lemon, raspberry and lavender!

I tend to go overboard, so if anyone wants some let me know and I can box a few up for you!

What happened that you loved today?

[As people are wanting cars ready for romantic road trips away, or beginning of the year services and inspections for registration, work is picking up at the shop again. With this knowledge - and her friends' schedule's loosely in mind - Dante hires a couple local kids to run Valentine's day packages around for her while she takes care of things at the shop. All food-related items are fresh and homemade the night before so that none of the food packaged items go bad. Anyone receiving a package may receive their package anytime from tomorrow to Valentine's day (Feb10th-Feb14th) depending on when it would make the most sense for the character to have been in town long enough for someone to find them and give them the package.]

Audrey hardly slept a wink Thursday night. No, instead she spent her time shopping, prepping and cooking. She was nervous. She was scared. She was excited. Nervouscited? It was a strange concoction of emotions fluttering in her chest and swimming in her stomach. She had managed to text the twins (her brothers) .. a few times, until they finally responded:

Mom and dad gone for the weekend. Ur stuffs in garage.

And that was it. No miss yous, love yous, nothing of the like. She had been demoted to a stranger reading messages on a screen now. Audrey swallowed hard to keep the butterflies wreaking havoc in her body at bay. Work. Distraction. Cooking. That would help.

That is why she was the first one at the new house, her car filled up with delicious delights to thank everyone for their help. To make sure that Hannah and Si had full stomachs and energy for the week they were about to have. She brought an assortment of drinks, a cooler, chips, a veggie tray. No milk (you're welcome Si). She laid everything out with care, especially the food she spent the night preparing and cooking--food that would actually be eaten! Fresh sandwiches graced the table for the taking, along with homemade lasagna for a heartier meal. There was garlic bread, some delicious fruit salad and for dessert? Peanut butter pie! There was plenty for everyone's tastes, and if some leftovers were taken home--it was a good thing, it gave her a reason to grocery shop later.

Audrey stood in front of the counter staring at the spread, for a moment forgetting her family, the boxes awaiting for her--memories she'd have to unpack all over again--her parents, her siblings, all of it. For just a fraction of a moment it was all buried down far below the surface of her feelings reminding her that this was a fresh start. A new chance. The sound of gravel rolling beneath tires brought Audrey back to reality. She ran her hands over her green sweater once and hurried to the front door.

It shouldn’t be cold enough for the roads to freeze overnight but keep in mind that if temps drop below 32 degrees F that roads and cars can ice up. Even if temps don’t get that cold make sure you take the time to warm up older cars before you drive them and don’t shotgun the gas on new cars until the cold engine light goes off.

Remember as we get into continuously colder months that cats and other small animals may try to hide under cars and near warm engines, exhausts or other things. Normally, this won't be a problem 99% of the time but if something seems weird with your vehicle pay a little more attention.

Keep in mind that as the temperature drops it will impact your tire pressure as well. From a site quick: "A good estimate is for every 10° fluctuation in air temperature, vehicle tire pressure will adjust by about 1 psi. So if outside air temperature decreases 30° from your last tire pressure adjustment, expect tire pressure to drop about 3 psi." - Keep an eye on this through the winter and make sure to check it regularly.

We're not going with the convertible option. After running the numbers I'd be too concerned about the structural stability while under high pressure isn't something anyone should chance while going over 200mph. It's do-able but the longtime deterioration of the materials would require a large overhaul at a later date and there'd also be the risk of assuring the roof didn't have a technical difficulty and just rip right the fuck off while you're flying down winding roads.
