Hello, I am Audrey Carpenter, but I am pretty sure most of you know that. Um.

I'm not really sure what to write here, but I was told it'd be beneficial for everyone, so here goes:

My memory [...] isn't what it was. The doctors said it can happen after [...] unpleasant events. They're not sure when or if it will come back, but they'll be working with me closely over the next few months.

I get out of the hospital in a week or two, I'll be moving in somewhere with my cousin?. [...] I am going to be reading through old posts to try and see if it helps at all, and to re-familiarize myself as best as I can.

So, I guess this is a re-introduction of sorts, and so no one gets too confused if I don't recall who you are.

For those of you who are wanting an update of Audrey Carpenter.

She has been found, she is currently at the hospital and is under observation until further notice. The hospital is not allowing anymore visitors other than family. I'll be at the hospital daily and if there is anything that anyone wishes for her to have, please let me know and I'll see to it that it's taken care of.

Thank you for all of your help and I'll do my best to keep everyone updated.

Hannah was lost.

She knew where she was going, since she'd cleaned the house on the lake before, over and over, and the owners paid well, so it wasn't that she didn't know where her feet should go. But she'd been a little lost since the town was overrun with other people's lives, and it wasn't that she didn't know real from not real, but her own feelings were churned up, and the past was pirouetting in her mind. And when Rey offered to help, she accepted. She knew there were risks, and she had no idea if Rey would even be able to do anything. She, Hannah, was herself, and she knew she was, but maybe magic couldn't help someone who wasn't human. She had flesh, and she had blood, and she had all the organs and systems a real person had, but hers were synthetic, and maybe her mind was different, but she still wanted to try.

She would explain first, she decided, as she approached the house in soft layers, with a bag slung low. She would trust Rey, and she would explain, and if Rey thought it was a bad idea, then she would listen. But she wanted to try.

She knocked.

Thank you everyone who came to our housewarming party. It was such a nice time, and we enjoyed seeing each and every one of you. I am proud to say we didn't have any left overs either.

Hey, I didn't mean to break off with you the other night but I realised we were probably about to get off into turf that would bother Ren. And he was generally being very nice, for him anyway, about a lot of hypothetical business that touches a lot on the fact that someone assaulted him--which I'm still angry on his behalf about--and about people being nosy about his family, which he's usually not forthcoming about. For his own reasons, which I could guess at but even I don't know the whole of.

Anyhow, I am really interested in talking about theoretical ethics. Not just the simple stuff, like people in traffic. And you're right, basically in those circumstances people have to be led for the most part, and a strong voice and decisiveness covers a lot of it. But Uncle Luke got way off into the weeds with us: things like, if you're in hiding for a reason, when is it worth it to come out and help? Or what is the value of your future ability to help people worth compared to the risk of getting thrown in jail or worse now? And you can understand that I wouldn't want to talk about that kind of thing in front of Ren, or in front of Audrey, who's quite observant.

he's still a little tender but his legs are healing up okay so they let him come home with me today. he's kind of got a cat rehab thing going so I need to make sure he doesn't try to jump down from anywhere too high and that he's actually using his back legs and not dragging himself around, and there are meds and all but I feel super lucky that he's here with me. we still need to get to know each other but the fact that he's sleeping in my lap right now is probably a good sign
