[In a statement released by the Sheriff's Department, there is a brief explanation as to the Tethys employee allegedly behind the egg hunt fiasco. The perpetrator is being transferred to the Capital for holding until trial. The Department confirms, once again, that the man acted alone and without any accomplices, a conclusion arrived at after an exhaustive investigation into any and all leads relating to such—lab techs, connections at Town Hall, and so on. Updates will continue to be provided until the end of trial. Anyone wishing for more information is invited to call the Sheriff's Department.

Too there is an update regarding the man found murdered inside of an abandoned trailer in the trailer park. It is brief, a couple lines or so, stating that the results of the prints and DNA found at the scene will be processed before the end of the week. The victim, a violent offender himself, is known to have had several enemies. The Department is certain they will find their killer. They welcome information in the meantime, citing the confusion of the egg hunt as an understandable reason for a delayed coming forward, and encouraging anyone with knowledge of the event to come in.

The town-wide clean-up effort post-egg hunt is nearly concluded and the police force thins back to normal. Though, normally they would be sent by mail, recognizing that some might be suspect to accept anything from their post box for a time, reparation forms are made available online, at town hall, the library, and the police station for those seeking restitutions and recompense from Tethys for trauma and damage suffered.]
