Repose

[Word comes out of the Capital of a man cloaked in black, as of yet unnamed and unknown. Some speak of the resemblance, not just in form, but in MO, to a man known in Jersey—a man called The Shadow. But there is no proof they are one in the same.

This is his fourth or fifth sighting in recent months, but rumor reaches beyond city limits this time of an armed robbery thwarted at the Capital Bank in the financial district, early Thursday morning. Known for its many (very secure) vaults and with a reputation of serving only the wealthiest around the Capital, the armed robbery begins when an armored vehicle is diverted into the building, crashing through a century-old wall, killing two security guards almost instantly. Witnesses seem to confused what precisely followed in the chaos, though they all seem certain that the robber who seemed in charge was taken down silently first, by some means, followed by all five of his compatriots. All six were bound with tactical wire and were unconscious, propped up against the armored truck when the police arrived on the scene three minutes later.

There's a lot of speculation, online and in print, about who the man is, but no one can quite come to an agreement and there're no photographs to scrutinize for details.]

[Early Thursday morning, a rumbling from the forest can be heard, followed by a thick cloud of purple mist that spreads over every inch of Repose. It lingers for a few minutes, infecting those who breathe it in, before dissipating. The result? One free hallucination. Residents see anything from their past, present and future. And hallucinations are reported through the weekend.]

[As the mist begins to roll away, there's a blue murder scream of combined rage and fear from Hunter's trailer. The dogs start barking and keep on for about fifteen minutes after the scream cuts off.]

[Shortly after the explosion, two men are left at the jail. A woman in black is seen stringing them up, and she's on the roof, which isn't the most shocking thing - the slinky catsuit and ears? That's the most shocking thing. They're tied up and hung by their ankles outside the front door, and they're both bound in pretty black tape, gagged, and stripped down to their underthings. Both men, if they're fingerprinted, are wanted for violent crimes against women in other counties, and they've been hiding out in the woods. You're welcome, Repose.]
