[The day following the fog, the Repose rumor mill is abuzz with the fact that the Sheriff was seen working the till at Sonrisa Arts & Crafts, from open to close. Christmas cards sales were high that day. The man was a good salesman or the housewives and busybodies had come for the view. The man told anyone who asked after the Arts & Crafts Store's owner, that she was ill.—Many wondered if the Sheriff himself was being punished, as there was talk of him being involved in destruction of property at Crust & Crumb (and did you see his hand? Bruised knuckles!). Those in the know said that the man had turned himself in and had already received his official reprimand from the county, something involving anger management courses perhaps. Time will tell. For now, get down to Sonrisa Arts & Crafts if you want a card before they sell out.
