The nightmares have returned, as fresh and horrid as the first time, and the lingering dread they leave behind won't be eased this day. For, as always, they predict the death of some unfortunate soul. Except this time, things are different. Maybe the one to die won't be so innocent after all.

Those suffering from nightmares have been spared once again, but there's still suffering during the waking hours. However, though there are those who will mourn, others have more pleasant festivities to look forward to. And now that the killer's face is out there, surely her capture can't be too far off.

A new day dawns after more sleepless nights for those plagued by nightmares. This endless torment could drive anyone mad, especially knowing that there will soon be another body to add to the growing list of victims. But a new development might mean the deaths could soon come to an end.

Another night free of nightmares, but it seems like these reprieves are anything but in the waking hours. With a murderer and a now a vicious werewolf on the loose, reality is scary enough as it is.

The nightmares are back and by now, most know what evil that brings. Someone will die and the body count will continue to rise. And many more will be left alive to suffer other fates. But perhaps there is the slim glimmer of hope on the horizon.

The night has passed quietly once again, the nightmares abated for the time being. But by now, certain people know that only means more horror is yet to come. And for some in the wizarding world, that horror will be very real indeed.

But for the moment, all is quiet. Enjoy it, for it won't last long.

Death returns in force today, hanging like a spectre over the wizarding world as the nightmares return—with a vengeance for some. There are those who have tried to alter their dreams with the aid of potions. They'll pay the price this time with nightmares more horrifying and so vivid, the terror will linger with them when they wake.*

And for those who will look death in the face, there will be no mercy and no respite.

No nightmares this night, but who needs them when reality is already horrible enough? The outbreak of living Inferi is mostly contained, but there are still rogues shambling about. Anyone could still find themselves facing unpleasant company if they're not careful.

Then there's the aftermath. Psychological, physical, and property damage are widespread, leaving everyone to pick up the pieces after a terrifying day. Of course, not everyone survived the ordeal.

Once again, the nightmares have abated for the time being, but for those who've noticed a pattern, they know that only means the worst is yet to come. And for someone in the wizarding world, that means they won't ever see the light of day again.

The nightmares are back and with them comes the news of yet another violent death. Though there seems to be a survivor this time, it does little to soothe the fear gripping the wizarding world.

However, one small thing seems to have returned to normal at least: the "glitch" affecting the journals the public seems so fond of has been corrected. For the time being.

The night was once again lacking in horror for those suffering from nightmares, but despite the lull, there is no end in sight to the phenomenon. Observant wizards and witches have noticed the strange glitch in the common journals, and their mysterious manufacturers have promised to have it fixed by the end of the day.

Meanwhile, an air of expectation hangs over the land. Will there be another murder, or is the Prophet correct in assuming the worst is past?

Trickles of things that shouldn't be seen come to light as the strangeness occurring is journals is noticed. Too little too late for some, as words written clearly cannot be so easily recalled.

Neither can actions, if the rumors spreading about the supposedly most responsible Weasley being seen completely drunk at a shameful 8:30 in the morning are anything to go on.

But there are murmurs of some wanting to pool knowledge and take action about the strange occurrences lately. Maybe it's time someone besides the DMLE took steps.

To add more to the mystery, there seems to be something more wrong with the journals today, though this issue is more subtle than the last "glitch". Regretful words that are scribbled out don't stay that way, leaving them out in the open.

As the day winds on, the scant sunlight does little to alleviate the lingering chill in the air. Part of it might have to do with the rumors buzzing about, stirred by the rantings of one Zarkin Frood. Frood is well known for his rambling monologues on the busy corners of Diagon Alley. He's usually annoying and loud, but harmless.

However, his rantings have taken on a new note of frenzy, screaming about "that red-haired bitch is back" and "she's coming for me and the rest of them". These are just the ravings of a disturbed old man, though. No one in their right mind would lend any credence to them.

The smoke and cheer of last night's Guy Fawkes festivities are still fading when the new day comes. However, whatever lighthearted relief last night might have provided is negated by the return of horrid nightmares for those that have continued to be afflicted with them. The day dawns brisk and marred by a lingering feeling of dread.

As the day winds on, rumors of another bloody murder trickle through Diagon Alley and beyond. This time the victim is said to be Rosalind Bungs, a well-known matchmaker for purebloods, though the information is unconfirmed save for the hysterical prattling of Bungs' own assistant. She was stabbed, some say. Others insist that her throat was slashed. No one will know the truth until an investigation is performed.

With the new day, secrets once left vulnerable to prying eyes seems to be safe once more more - for the moment. There's no way of knowing what exactly happened, but theories abound. Fortunately, there are no unnatural nightmares keeping anyone awake. However, things still aren't quite right. Something sinister seems to be lying in wait.
