As morning slips into afternoon, it's become apparent that privacy isn't what it used to be for those with those oh-so-useful journals that are so popular these days. Whether the incident is related or not has yet to be seen, but with the rumors of a mole in the ministry and the theft of evidence, who knows if anything will come of an investigation.

With the funeral of Harry Potter over and done, one would hope that things could only get better. However, the peaceful lull is brief. Nightmares have returned to a seeming select few, but the sufferers appear random without a cause as to why they'd have these terrifying dreams of torture and not others.

Even more curious, there's a new concern plaguing the wizarding world. Where once everyone's inner-most thoughts were written down, private and protected, now anyone can see them and who knows what troubles that will bring.

However, affecting everyone is a seeming glitch with the journals in which everything hexed private is actually public for everyone to read. It's likely no one will notice until it's too late and there's nothing to be done about it for now.]

With the afternoon comes the funeral of the Boy Who Lived Twice, the much-loved Harry Potter. A public service is to be held at 1 PM at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, with all of the wizarding world welcome to attend and say their goodbyes. Old hurts and new pains are sure to be stirred up, but an impromptu quidditch match for old time's sake might take the edge off.

No more dreams trouble those able to sleep in the dark hours of the morning. Those that find themselves sleepless might be in such a state because of what the day holds in store. Today is the day of Harry Potter's funeral, and much of the wizarding world has shut down in mourning and in preparation for the afternoon's somber event.

As the day winds on, shocking rumors come out of Hogsmeade. There's a been a vicious murder, though the details are vague. The one thing that does seem to be repeated with some certainty is that the victim is none other than Zacharias Smith's own father.

Already there are murmurs that this was revenge for Zacharias's involvement in Harry Potter's death. Others say that Zacharias killed his father himself, the result of bad blood between the two. The only thing known for certain is that nothing is certain at all.

A new day brings more sorrow and more sleepless nights. The nightmares have returned to a seeming select few, but the sufferers appear random without a cause as to why they'd have these terrifying dreams of torture and not others.

Meanwhile, the world is still coping with the loss of Harry Potter. Preparations for his final rest are being made as the investigation into his death grinds on, as does the case of Dmitri Zurlo.

The Boy Who Lived is dead. By now, the devastating news has traveled throughout the wizarding world. People have come together in their grief while speculations run wild. Was it dark magic or more mundane means that killed Harry Potter? How did it happen inside the Ministry with so many people about? Was it an inside job or is Zacharias Smith the true killer? Smith certainly hasn't helped in making anyone think otherwise. However, everyone has more questions than answers, including those investigating the death of one of their own.

The Ministry's Halloween Gala seemed to go off without a hitch last night, but as the party wound to a close, a scream marred the festivities. Nothing to see, though, or so it seemed and the party ended without incident. Except for the fact that, for the second time in as many days, there is a dead body in the halls of the Ministry.

There were no nightmares to speak of, a questionable reprieve given the devastating news that greets the wizarding world on the morning of November 1^st on the front page of the Daily Prophet. Perhaps the nightmares weren't so bad after all.

Despite last night's apparent continued rash of nightmares, the buzz about the Ministry's Gala has reached a fevered pitch. Though there remains an air of unease in the community, the festivities promise to lighten the mood. One thing is for certain: tonight's Halloween party will be one not soon forgotten.

Unlike the previous night, all seems to be calm and well in the wizarding world in the early hours of October 31^st. There are no more wide-spread nightmares - at least, it would seem that way. There are still a few dark ripples being felt after last night's explosion of dark happenings.

The Ministry is knee-deep in investigations as Halloween dawns, but that seems to be put on hold momentarily as preparations for the evening's Gala are underway. The Ministry has given all employees the day off, with the exception of vital staff, so everything can be made ready. Rumor has it that tonight's Halloween Gala will be the party of the decade and not to be missed.

By this time, it has become quite apparent that something did happen at the Ministry last night, and some of the rumors were right. There was a death, but just who died is yet unclear.

What is more apparent is that everyone had an unpleasant night, not just he poor soul who lost his life. There are wide-spread reports of nightmares and waking horrors, and there are some other rumors still that witches and wizards weren't the only ones affected. The cause of the nightmares is unknown, but rumor and speculation swirl. Was it a magical experiment gone wrong? Is it related to the death at the Ministry? Was it a one time thing? Or was it just a precursor of things to come?

October 30^th begins quietly enough, but something dark and unsettling happens in the middle of the night. Those who were safe in slumber are suddenly plagued with horrifying nightmares that feel too real to be just dreams. Those who were awake find themselves suddenly facing their worst fears. But a simple Riddikulus wouldn't work on these frightening spectres. Fortunately, they fade quickly enough, but who knows what lasting impressions they leave?

The early morning brings a swirl of rumors as the wizarding world wakes on a cool Thursday morning. There are rumors of a death in the Ministry, though the details are vague and fuzzy at best. Some say there was a thwarted attack. Others say some poor clerk simply passed while doing some filing. And from others still, there are whispers of a dark magic that got loose to wreak havoc. No one knows the truth for sure, but what's certain is this day has dawned with an uncertainty and unease not felt in the wizarding world in a long time.
