Current Arc; Oct 22, 2020: Tension has been building between the humans and mutants. Humans are growing more vocal about their distrust of mutantkind, and mutants are finally starting to take a stand. Peaceful protests have been demonstrated all across the nation, but the Morlocks have surfaced and stirred the pot. They're now responsible for several riots breaking out, some far more violent then they ever should be with Marrow on the loose. In retaliation, Purifiers are kidnapping, maiming, and killing mutants and dumping their bodies in the sewers. One of the deceased was the youngest child of former X-Men Angel and Husk. The X-Men are now forced to tighten the leash on their own kind in order to prevent another riot and a more aggressive attack against humans. With the new generation of mutants having already been registered at birth due to the Mutant Registration Act, rumors of a new Sentinel program are causing fear to mutants everywhere.

All the while, Sinister continues to manipulate the world around him, preparing for his own attack and uprising; and a magic spell goes awry, sending several residents into the prehistoric, Antarctic jungle of the Savage Lands.

Main Premise: For fifteen years, the mutant race was able to enjoy a period of peace. Politically powerful mutants such as Dr. Hank McCoy, Emma Frost, and Warren Worthington were capable of bringing the majority of the United States to an understanding that mutants are humans with unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The world wasn't perfect; there were still incidents that occurred, but, for the majority of the new generation of mutants, life was theirs for the taking and for them to live like any other American.

This time of peace was costly to the mutant side. The registration act remained, though the information was to be private and attached to one's social security number, and for government purposes only. The need for peace meant the lack of need for a mutant army. The X-Men, along with other hero factions in the U.S., were asked to disarm and disband. The X-Men obliged, begrudgingly, in memory of Prof. Charles Xavier: the man whom dreamed of a day when there'd be no need for his forces. Now, the former heroes could focus on their own dreams, build families, or continue to work for the school and maintain the lessons of Prof. Xavier to future generations. But with a new generation comes new troubles and old enemies.
