where were you?

Hello all! This is Heather, bringing you my fourth char into the game, Tamsin Applebee (you can find her here: fillefidele).

She's of the 1994 class, graduating in the same year as Oliver Wood, Percy Weasley, Penelope Clearwater and Marcus Flint (admittedly not his original year), and was in Hufflepuff, although she was known by the name of Macnair until midway through her 6th year.

I won't go too much into her history but it's there if you're interested - basically, big plot hint, look on the October plot post! She lived with her pureblood aunt and uncle since she was tiny because her parents went missing in suspicious circumstances during the first war, but they joined the Death Eaters and Tamsin disowned them when she came of age and changed her name. After leaving Hogwarts she was a carer for her Gran until the war started, when they fled and spent the war in France, where she tutored Beauxbatons students in English. She came back, tried out for the Wigtown Wanderers and is now a reserve chaser, and will be flat sharing with Miles!

So, plotty stuff? General ideas, friends, enemies, hook-ups?

I would be particularly interested in having someone be the person at the Ministry who alerted Tamsin to the fact that her aunt and uncle were hanging around with suspicious characters again, causing her and her Gran to go to France.

After justkevin and ravenclawjase, I now bring you Vicky Frobisher!

7th year female Gryffindor prefect born in a well-to-do pureblood family from London, she is one of those witches who blends in very well into the Muggle world as her parents have always taught her that leading that double existence is the safest way of living. Both her parents might be known to those au fait with Muggle culture - her dad is a political editor and presenter at the BBC, and her mother is a high society photographer. She says she isn't that fancy when you get to know her, though - she's a pretty outgoing and friendly sort, but as her family history might indicate, she's good at blending in and hiding things (victory_v if you want to know more).

As well as prefect stuff she might know your characters if they are taking the same subjects - she is in group 7B for Muggle Studies and 7A for Transfiguration, Potions, History of Magic and Arithmancy. She wants to enter the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, primarily as a trainee solicitor for the Ministry, and potentially to go into politics later on. She is still keen on Quidditch and other school activities - she is now president of the Charms Club and as such, if successful in trying out this time she can totally change the club meetings to suit. Ahem.

Finally, as for the war, she stayed neutral as long as possible due to a desire to keep her and her family safe. She did turn to protect Harry alongside the others when it came down to it, though, as she realised then what was important. She didn't last long in the battle, though, and twisted her knee dragging another student to safety out of the path of the Acromantula (let me know if you have a character that fits that). The injury isn't so bad but flares up occasionally, and she keeps quiet about it because she hates the idea of being pitied.

Any plot ideas? Friends, enemies, classmates, relatives, other? Let me know :)

Because when it comes to character apps I am nothing if not decisive ridiculously far in advance, I was wondering if you guys could help me out with something.

All the icon communities I used to use have closed down or moved to where I can't find them again, and the comms I found Kevin and Jason's icons in don't really have something that *fits* for my next character in particular...

...so, what are your favourite sources of PB icons? I have two character spots left, one of whom will be a blonde female, the other I haven't decided yet :)

Hello again! Time for me (Heather) to introduce to you my second character, Jason Samuels. ravenclawjase if you want to look at him in detail. He's the seventh year Ravenclaw male prefect, and year-mates who are in group 7B for History of Magic, Charms, Transfiguration, Arithmancy or Ancient Runes will see him pretty often. You won't find him on a broom, though, because he's notoriously a terrible flier.

On a personal note he's a pretty cheerful and friendly sort of person who is approachable about most things. He's half South African - mum is a witch who attended a girls' academy in Cape Town, now a model, who appears in mostly magical ad campaigns (but sometimes works for Muggles) and has three siblings - an older brother and sister, and a younger sister, Larissa, going into fourth year. The family are pureblooded and have been in Ravenclaw going WAY back. They're from a part of Lancashire none-too-far away from Pendle which is almost like a British Salem, so in a way they're pretty brave!

Reagarding the war, although he wasn't in the DA he supported their aims and helped to cause a lot of trouble for the Carrows - being of mixed nationality the idea of someone being demeaned for having mixed blood REALLY riles him. He has a couple of scars from those detentions, but no biggie. The final battle was pretty bad for him though - his dad was one of the parents who entered the castle to fight, and being of age at the time, Jason stayed to fight with him. An unidentified/masked Death Eater got his father with a killing curse right before his eyes, and he's still pretty shaken about that because he idolised his dad.

Anyway, plotty-wise, what I'm looking for is:

General acquaintances - friends, enemies, all that kind of thing. If you can think of a connection then let me at it!

A DA connection - someone who would have let him know about things like sabotaging the Carrows' punishments, writing messages on walls etc. Filling in the missing info about who killed his father might also be a good bit of knowledge to have, so ideas/suggestions on that front would be great!

Romantic interest/s - he's not as clueless with girls as Kevin is so an ex being around might be interesting!

Counsellor - Hayley, if Penelope has free client space, I have Jason plotted down as seeing a counsellor so perhaps she may be his?

I'm a newbie to this game, but I know at least two or three of you - my name's Heather and I was in Hogwarts Blogs on LJ with Hayley and Alison, and Euterpe's Corner (also LJ) with Hayley and possibly more of you... there's certainly some familiar names!

I'm 25 and I'm a primary school teacher in Cumbria in the north west of England, and I've been reading Harry Potter since the year before Order of the Phoenix came out. I'm currently doing supply/absence cover work so I'm available weekends, weekday evenings and certain weekdays, depending on when I'm called in to work. I am bringing to you Kevin Whitby, a Hufflepuff going into his fifth year at Hogwarts. He's a Yorkshire boy from a pureblood family, and has a younger sister, Maya, who is in her second year (also Puff) and a younger brother called Liam, who will attend Hogwarts next year. His optional subjects are COMC and Muggle Studies, and he has always wanted to try out for the Quidditch team, but has never had the guts to.

With regards to the war, he is still struggling somewhat with a bad injury to his non-wand arm, and is rather bitter that his father, whom he adores, suffered injuries in the Battle of Hogwarts whilst protecting younger students who'd snuck back into the castle to fight.
