Me and Sakamoto are drink testing the new selection down at the club! Who else is in? C'mon, can't let all of Acumen's upgrading go to waste now!

[....Yeeep, it's gonna be a long, fun evening. The nobody seems to get loopy on alcohol fairly quick, but then- when you have no heart, it's not like the inhibition list is normally so long anyway.]

I believe I've let you all go long enough without a word from me! So here we go.~

[Giggles.]

If there was one thing you could change about yourself, what would it be?~

How are you different now that you've been here? Has there been any change? Do you like it? Do you regret it?

[The video turns on and settles on the edge of a keyboard; all that's visible are the keys and a pair of gloved hands. Then he begins playing this, a fast, chaotic piece, both tonal and atonal, strange.

[When he finishes, with a flourish, he picks up the camera and directs it at his face. smiling]
Prokofiev piano sonata number 4, movement 3. It's a brilliant piece, isn't it?

[He looks like Allen. He sounds like Allen. But he is not Allen.]

[Sora yells into the microphone, confused and slightly agitated]

Riku, Kairi!! Are you there? Can you hear me?

[He moves his hands around the communicator, searching for a volume button as if it is a two-way radio]

Hello?!

[There is a bit of silence as Sora notices the welcome basket and brochure.]

Food? Uhh.

[The rustling of paper is just barely audible]

What.. I haven't committed any of these crimes! I-- What is this?!

[She is a bit shaky this morning, but Rin waking up in an empty bedroom made her worried.]

Has anyone seen Len lately? He isn't in his bed when I woke up or I haven't heard from him in a while.

Not to mention......I haven't heard from Adrianna either...

[Audio] I wonder... Maybe if I hit this...

[A video feed goes on cutting to a young teenage girl with bright red hair coming down to her shoulders. Her blues eyes that usually carry warmth quickly narrow though. In, fact, Kairi looks far from her usual complacent self. She has a big old frown on her face as she reads and rereads the message that she seems to have just now taken notice of. Whether she knows it's a communicator or not yet is another question. Kairi isn't exactly tech savy. Comes with the whole fooling-around-outside-all-the-time deal.]

What? But I didn't do anything! How can this be right?

[Kairi grits her teeth with a narrowed brow. Something is definitely off about this place. And as pretty as it may seem on the outside, it's still a ward for criminals. And she's pretty certain that she has committed no crimes worth this punishment if she has committed any at all.

Kairi closes her eyes and the frown slowly vanishes as a breeze picks up. Where she ended up was even crueler... When she first woke up, she thought she had just dozed off on the beach. Until she realized it wasn't her beach. Or island, for that matter.]

I wonder where Riku is... And...

[She looks down and that's about when she notices the basket with the pamphlet.]

Huh...?

Sarabi!

[The video feed is on and the more-than-likely unexpected image of a lion with a black mane appears on the screen. The welcome basket and communicator are lying somewhere across the floor from him, and he has a less than amused expression on his face. In fact, he appears furious at someone, and is mumbling rather violent and explicit ways of punishing someone, presumably the one he was just yelling for.

After a moment or two he looks around, his rage being slightly replaced by confusion as he waits for the person he called for to come. He’s only now realizing the change in scenery and walks over to the communicator and brochure he’s thrown away, trying to find some form of explanation. When he finds it, his expression becomes even angrier and the throws himself to the ground in frustration, lying on his stomach with his paws crossed in front of him. The communicator is also replaced, so that he'll be understood when he speaks although his words are laced with sarcasm and malice.]

Oh, goody, just what I need after putting up with those idiots. What next? Is Mufasa going to come and deliver my punishment? Or even better, maybe it’ll be Simba!

Good afternoon, everyone. I would like to ask a question to those of you who are interested in taking the music class that will be offered at the school. Which instruments would you prefer to have as part of the course?

[Private to Jun]

I believe that you and I will be teaching the music class together, so I thought it best that we introduce ourselves. My name is Zelda.

 [Private to Conrad]

Conrad, are you available this afternoon?

[Backdated... backtimed... whatever... to late afternoon, Day 63]

[Waking up just a couple of hours ago, and having taken her late bot-prepared lunch, someone seems to be in quite the musical mood, as she stays within the Shelter, sitting down on one of the couches with her guitar ready in front of her, and looking out towards the exit, where rain appears to be falling down and pattering upon the ground.]

[Finally looking away from the exit, she begins to strum upon her guitar, singing a Japanese children's song called 'Rainy Day', and looking just a tiny bit lonely, as she sits there and sings alone.]

~~Translated song lyrics under the cut~~ )

(OOC: Note that the link is merely a shortened version of the actual children's song presented within the anime, whereas the song that Yui would be singing in this case would be a full version, thus differences are to be expected~~!)

[Ba-dum-tum! That's a set of bongos. Demyx is wandering the music room, and back to planning entertainment that requires minimal effort on his part..]

Sooooooo...

What are your general opinions on beach side drum circles? You know, dancing barefoot in the sand, wailing on anything percussive in sight?

I hear the dolphins go nuts for a good beat! We could break out the tiki torches and do it after 'dark hours' and everything!

[So, Mami's finally out of the hospital and back to her farm. Yaaaaaaay! Even more yay is-- the veggies are all grown now!

...To the point that it is time to give some to others! So, she flicks on the voice thingy and starts talkin'.]

If anyone wants lettuce, radishes, or cucumbers - the ones at m' farm in Sector Five are all grown now, and I'd be happy t' give some out!

Hmm...we need more fun entertainment around here.

[But Johnny has been a good boy and didn't sneak out when Chris wasn't looking. At least his wounds had healed--on the outside anyway--and a couple packs of blood helped boost his energy.

Right now he's relaxing in the grass in the park on a big cushioned chaise with a book. Where it came from? Who knows?]

If you could request an amusement park to be built here, what rides and games would you want in it?

[Maya turns on the camera as she sits in the ramen shop, waiting on her miso ramen. She has a big smile on her face as she addresses Marina.]

Hey, everyone! Since everyone is seems to be doing better, let's have a big party tomorrow! I guess some of you were sleeping through it, but I'm turning nineteen or already have maybe so we should have lots of fun!

I think the arcade would be a good place...Maybe we can figure out some way to have a big feast there? And then we can play games all night!

Maybe we can have it at 6 PM...Or is that too late? [She looks thoughtful.]

Anyway! Let me know what you think! [Click! The video feed turns off, as Maya's spotted the steaming hot bowl headed her way...]

((OOC: Not going to be able to tag this much beyond late Wednesday night / earlyearlyearly Thursday morning as I'm leaving Thursday for ACEN and not going to be able to post until I get back Monday evening. But willing to do any backtagging at that point so long as it doesn't interfere with the party (which should probably be starting Thursday next week)!))

[The video shows a blonde girl sitting upright in one of the hospital beds. She looks pretty chipper, if the serious case of bed-head was left aside. She stretches, giving a wave, the loose sleeves of the hospital gown flailing this way and that.] I just had the best nap! You can't get away with naps like that on duty, let me tell you.

[Her optimistic expression shifted to one of mild confusion, as she turned her head to look out of a nearby window.] Although, what am I doing in the hospital? I remember going back to my room after I'd done some shopping, but... I don't think anything happened to me? [She patted her arms, covered legs, and hips, mumbling mostly to herself.] I mean, I feel fine...

...oh! [She lifts a leg up, under the blanket, then claps her hands.] The chain is gone! Now I can wander free~ [With a worried expression, she cranes her head back and to the side a little, looking at the wall behind her.] I wish my room was further away from this one guy. He sounds like he's in so much pain...
The Final Night [OPEN TO ALL]
08 May 2010 at 02:48 pm
The clock tower has tolled, signaling the late hours, and the artificial sunshine fades as usual...

Except-- the prison never really goes dark.

Only a moment of normal facility nighttime is present before the dim street lights flicker and die-- much as they've done for the past few nights-- and a soft illumination appears across the dome, blanketing it like a nightlight.

Luminescent markings run through the interior of the shelter, down to the lowest levels.

Intricate designs and writings are etched into the ground outside, they scale buildings and extend to the utmost reaches of the facility; like a massive spiderweb to trap all inhabitants.

Yet it does nothing.

It simply waits for morning to come.

[[ooc: Sorry for lateness. Info here-- there are some edits-- and any questions for me go there too, or catch me on AIM. I have to go out now, but I will be back :|b Event end, so go at it /o/]]

[Hiling can be seen lounging on one of the couches in the common room of the shelter. There is a game console controller in her hands and the sounds of shotgun blasts and demonic roars can be heard in the background. She doesn't seem to have any difficulty dividing her attention between the game and the communicator.]

Cute little device we've got here. So this is how we're supposed to communicate? It'll do, I suppose... Aside from the sickness I hear is going around, this place doesn't seem so bad. Though I'm definitely looking forward to getting this thing off. [She quickly glances down at the ball and chain with a bit of a scowl before returning her gaze to the television screen.] What a pain!

Attention, please everyone. I need some information from you all that will hopefully prove useful in our investigation of this phenomenon that has swept the prison. I would like everyone that has not suffered any symptoms of this wave of exhaustion to please come forward. I would like to compare these individuals against those that are currently experiencing extreme exhaustion, to see if there's some psychological or physiological reason for it. You may also give me the names of others if you are absolutely certain that they have been feeling no exhaustion whatsoever.

If you are one of the individuals suffering from the outbreak of the pentacles, and were previously healthy, please also say so.

[Private to the Defense Force]
I'm going to compare those that come forward against my profile, to see if anything fits. At this point, it's likely a shorter list than those affected. Our unsub is someone gathering energy for some larger purpose, likely an attack on the prison itself. At this point, if they are clearly unaffected, it would stand out. Of course, those that do say that they aren't feeling tired at all will need to be verified by us.
