[She wasn't sure what to expect when their lips met. She never does with Nathan. Maybe that should scare her more, but it doesn't. She's never been as protective over her life as she has the lives of others.

And after a beat she kisses back with more warmth and confidence, happy to let him figure his hands out for himself as her curl in to hold to his shirt near his waist.]
