[ As much as he hates the darkness and as scared as he is of what's in it he can't bring himself to mind this as much as he usually would. He trusts her to find a way out of here and he trusts her to make sure he doesn't die or something here tonight. Feeling her tug him through the corridors fills him with a strange sense of security. It'll be fine and even if it isn't, they'll be not fine together.

That said, the excitement of the room is lost on him, drowned in the distant noises and the prospect of waiting it out for the night. This is better than being alone but it's not good. ]

I think you're right. [ He swallows in an attempt to keep his cool. ] It's just for tonight... we're only going to get hurt if we keep wandering the corridors.

[ the first thing she needs is rest, but she's too stubborn and far too agitated by the ambiance drenching her in a thick, unpleasant fog to sit still long enough to get any.

so she goes to one of the dead repulsor chairs instead. off comes part of the paneling on the arm with a POP. her hand's small enough to slip inside and curl her fingers around the wiring, pulling it out enough that she can kneel in the seat and peer at it. ]

This is all wrong. No wonder this doesn't work.
