DAY 347 : Haunted Hotel Mingle

	[ Got it. Haruka scans the doors in that direction to be sure they all look securely closed, then turns her attention to the hall in front of them. ] We can't assume it's laid out like a normal hotel... Yeah...
[Considering how creepy this place was, that made sense. Gon follows after Haruka looking this way and that. Aside from the occasional creaking of the floors under their feet, its strangely fairly quiet.
Nothing too unnerving aside from the natural tension looming in the air --until there's a loud crack. Gon flails his arms a bit to steady himself, nearly ending up on his face. His right foot broke through the wood flooring. But he wasn't stepping down that hard? ]

...Huh..?!

[Gon shifts trying to pull his leg free. A few feet behind them in the direction they came from, the floor starts to crack and crumble loudly before falling through. Its quickly getting closer. Soon there won't be a hallway.]

	What?! [ Haruka turns. Her gaze flicks from the crumbling floor to Gon's stuck leg, and in no time at all she's on one knee trying to get him extracted. [ The floor caving behind them gets Gon's attention so much that it takes a split second to remember he's stuck. Or at least until Haruka is there trying to help. It's okay, he's not going to complain about the rough treatment. Mostly because it does manage to free him before the crumbling reaches them.
Even before he can try to get up and react, he's getting a piggyback ride! ]

Its getting faster.... [ The crumbling is getting louder and it is in fact picking up speed. It probably doesn't help that the hallway just seems that much longer as they race down it.]

[ An optical illusion? But Haruka wouldn't put it past the Wardens to concoct a prison that changed while the inmates were awake, either.

She'll take a gamble, then. If it's not going to let her reach the end of the hallway, no matter how fast she runs (and she's quite the fast runner) -

What happens if she shifts Gon's weight and tries to duck into one of the doorways instead? ] Watch your head.

[Gon ducks at the last moment, hair just scrapping the door frame. He glances back to the hallway they managed to escape. The falling floor continued to race by the pair to take out the rest of the hallway but leaving the doorway and room they entered alone. He leans a bit, trying to see how far down it goes. Its too dark to really see the bottom though.]

I think we're okay.... [He's not exactly sure how truthful that statement is but at least they didn't end up in that pit thanks to Haruka's speed.]

[Gon does slowly slide off Haruka's back. He winces faintly when his right foot catches his own weight but more or less ignores it. Probably just a bit sore from breaking through the floorboards earlier. ]

Sure does seem that way.... [His voice drifts off as he looks about the room. There isn't another door besides the one they entered. It seems like a regular bedroom with a full bed, dresser, night stands. The windows curtains have been torn down and boards have been messily nailed to the windows. Which is odd considering bricks can be seen between the spaces of the boards. He wonders over to one of the walls on the far left side of the room, lightly knocking on it.]

We could try to break through the windows or pick a wall and just keep breaking through there. We would make a lot of noise and there's no telling whats on the other side of them...

[If that mattered. Gon's fulling willing to try and bulldoze through walls or try to get through the windows. The hallway doesn't seem like an opinion anymore anyway.]

[ Are those bricks showing through the. No. Haruka can't stop to ponder the logistics in a hotel that just had a hallway collapse while keeping the rest of the building totally fine. This is all probably just the Wardens' virtual reality, anyway - but they can never take that for granted.

And on both those counts, a convenient ventilation shaft (that at least Gon, if not she, could fit through) would be too much to ask, wouldn't it. Shoot. ] Anyway, they think we're trapped.

[ Striding over to the window, she tries to rip a board off - or at least break through in the middle so she can see what's on the other side. Transforming now would still be premature, but if it comes to actually trying to bust through the building... ] We don't have time to deliberate.

[ Turning his attention back to Haruka, he watches the boards come off without too much difficultly. The only issue now are the bricks on the other side of them. He doesn't understand what deliberate means but can more or less guess what Haruka means by how it is said. Though if they do somehow plan to get through that window... He points at it.]

I can try to punch through it in less you can.... [But assuming can get through...]
Any idea how many stories up we are?

[He really doesn't know how strong Haruka is, other then being a fast runner]

[ Haruka takes the fact that a kid just offered to punch through bricks in stride - that's some "training" - and checks the hallway. Unless anything here can float or fly, there's only so many ways whatever might come looking for them can approach....

So. Hide or run? They'll have to do the former anyway if the latter doesn't work out. ] Do we really have a choice?

[ Punch away, kiddo. She'll cover you. ~~And cushion your fall if this doesn't work out.~~ ]

[Gon grins a little bit at that and gives a small shrug.] Not really...

[He moves to the window, touching the bricks with his finger tips. They just feel like regular bricks, nothing unusual. Without the ability to use Nen this is a bit harder to do but Gon is all for trying! He brings his hand back and curls it into a tight fist.
He holds the pose it for a moment before thrusting his fist forward.. The bricks crack upon impact and give way like rubble.]

Got it!

[ Once the bricks fall away the outside is visible. It looks pretty stormy but other then that its the regular dome scenery---from a good 20 stories up. But its only visible for a few moments.
-A strong gust of wind bellows through the open window suddenly in an attempt to push the pair away from it and possibly even out the room itself. Never-mind that those bricks that are now gone--are being rebuilt brick by brick and that wind is not stopping until the window is blocked again.]

[ ...That could also happen. Haruka plants her feet against the wind but still manages to lose purchase. She rights herself in front of the door, one arm grabbing either side of the frame so Gon won't fly out.

So that's the rules, huh....? Stay inside like good little kids. Haruka remains where she is until the wind has died down. They appear to be running out of options. ]

[Gon raises his arms to shield face from the wind, but even as he tries to hold strong his position, he does end up skidding back into Haruka. Once the window is blocked off again and the wind comes to a end, he lowers his arms and groans. So much for that idea...]

...We need to figure a way out of here and then work our way down. We're pretty high up..

[Of course the main problem right now was just getting out of the room itself. Hallway was a no go, window didn't work...]

Are we agitating it more, though? [ This level of persistence is troubling. Walking over to the wall, Haruka touches it and thinks. Hard. She has a time limit on her transformation (and would rather use that as a last resort anyway). Gon is apparently super strong, but she also doesn't want to have him be the first thing anyone waiting unseen for them lays eyes on....

She knocks on said wall - part frustration, part test. How strong are these? ]

I'd rather face whatever is doing this then sit around and wait...
[He clenches and unclenches his fist thoughtfully. His knuckles are bleeding a bit but nothing serious. Gon can't sense anything and there's no scents to give away any clues. It is like they're moving around blindly. He's almost tempted to try the window again out of frustration. Especially if its agitating who ever is behind the hotel.

The walls seem fairly normal. Dry wall with some tacky floral wallpaper pattern. Nothing too strange.]

[Huh? Gon blinks and looks over a bit confused. Why does he need to stand in the corner for? By the looks of it, Haruka is going to try and take down the wall...but that shouldn't do too much, right?. Maybe Haruka is just super strong? Regardless, he doesn't bother to argue. If they can get out of there, then he's all for it.]

...Okay! [He moves back to the other side of the room as instructed, watching curiously.]

[ At this rate she might as well just go on the network announcing her true identity, but Haruka doesn't have much of a choice anymore, does she. She pulls what looks like a fancy pen - maybe a fancy tube of lipstick? - out of her pocket, still facing the wall. ] Uranus Crystal Power, Make Up!

[ There's a flash of golden light, and then Sailor Uranus, complete with miniskirt, heels, and tiara, is charging her special attack in one hand.

Gon might want to stay in that corner. ]

[ Gon can't help but stare, aside from having to shield his eyes at the bright flash of light---oh course when he looks again, there's Haruka in a completely different outfit---in particularly the a skirt gets his attention. His eyes widen a bit. Wait, was Haruka a girl?! Actually, with that outfit its way more clear now. How did he not notice..?

His eyes tear from her back to look at her glowing hand. Instantly he figures its nen but... No, he wouldn't be able to see it if it was... Gon is going to be leaning more into the corner now. If anything, by the looks of things, Haruka is going to break through more then just one wall. ]

World - Shaking!

[ Sailor Uranus slams her open palm against not the wall itself, but the ground in front of the wall. Which cracks on the impact as a gigantic planet-shaped sphere of glowing light rips out of the point of impact towards said wall.

If they can't use the hallway to go in this direction, she'll make them a hallway instead. ]

[The wall is no match for the attack. It tears through like its nothing and like a domino effect, the walls in the glowing sphere's path are getting torn down one after another. The gaping wholes and damaged floors may not look pretty but who cares!

It takes a moment for him to react and keep from staring but finally, Gon grins and pumps his fist into the air]

Amazing! Haruka! Wowww!

[ He runs over to hiher, making his way towards the gaping holes, otherwise known as their new hallway]

[ Before the holes start closing up or the floor gives way or something. Still, she does feel a lot better-equipped to handle the situation now.

Which itself makes her suspicious of what might be coming next. Pride usually does goeth before a fall....but for now, she'll use the path she's hewn. ]

[Don't need to tell him twice, Gon dashes through the new doorway; checking out the rooms as he runs through them. They all seem pretty ordinary. Just copies of the one they were in prior. But hey, he's more impressed by just how many walls that attack took out.]

That almost bothers Uranus more than the way their earlier hole had filled itself up. They just aren't allowed to fully escape, then? There won't be a door or a stairwell waiting for them when they run out of the equivalent of the hallway?

She catches up to Gon quickly, noting the holes are getting both rougher and smaller. This is about where her attack ran out of steam, huh....She checks the door to see whether the hall has rebuilt itself and, regardless, how far they are from the end. ]
