[Euphie really should have stayed in her room. The only problem is that being alone is one of the hardest, scariest things for her and her room somehow felt extra alone, so out she slipped wearing a white, flowing nightdress and no shoes. Her closet wasn't really stocked with clothes for exploring.]

Hello? [She walks down the halls, turning her head side to side, watching for anyone and occasionally trying door knobs. Maybe you'll be behind one of those doors?]

[Eeek! She ran forward and grabbed the door, pulling with all her might. They were making progress! There was a snarl of something and then the door loosened up suddenly, sending them both sprawling to the floor from the force of the release.

But it didn't close. Instead, the hallway Euphie had been in was gone... replaced by pitch blackness.

Kitty stared at it.]

Now... I'm not so sure I want to leave...

[Euphie blinks as if not trusting her eyes. Maybe she's gone selectively blind? It makes no sense. Even if the lights are out in the hallway light from the room should spill in and illuminate something, but it is just the deepest, thickets black without form or context.]

Do you think we'd wake back up in our usual beds if we went to sleep? [But she also knows she isn't comfortable enough to fall asleep. Not after that snarl.]

	Yeah... [Kitty didn't even think about sleep issues, but she knew they could happen. She let that one go. In the big scheme of things right now, it wasn't really important.] Well, if something attacks us, I should be able to phase us and prevent us from being hit... even if that's been a little inconsistent today. 	No. Not since I got control of my powers. When they first manifested, it was weird. I'd fall through things, or something I was holding would suddenly slide through my hands and drop. Weird things like that. But, I pretty much have it all under control now. So, not having it work right can be a little scary. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
