[anyone on the Enterprise would have noticed that the Ensign was acting really strange the last few days since he had come back to life. Barely sleeping - let's face it, he hadn't been sleeping well since Khan had shot him - but he was jumping at shadows, talking to himself, and sometimes would stare off at something like he was seeing something else in thin air. Twitchy was a good adjective to assign to him at this point. But today was taking the cake as Ben was getting caught on camera in one of the Enterprise hallways, his back against the wall and the phaser out on front of him. There was no one else, but Ben was obviously spooked and aiming at something only he could see]

Why are your eyes black.... No, get away from me! I don't know what the fuck you are, but stay the hell away from me!

two more steps away from what he was watching, and then he grit his teeth and fired the phaser at the wall leaving a burn mark]

[Ben wasn’t really sure what had just happened, but this wasn’t good. Not good at all. Like, on a scale from 1 to 100, this was 1000 on the not good scale]

[his eyes scanned the landscape, knowing instantly that he wasn’t in Indiana anymore. There was a tightness in his chest - the same one he felt when someone turned off the lights in a room on him - that started to rise as he swallowed hard]

I don’t seem to remember a tornado coming through town and picking my school up to deposit me into Oz. So, uh, a road map back home would be great. I got a girl waiting for me under a set of bleachers and would hate to disappoint her...
