Culture. Blood. Friendship. There was a time when the lines were clear and the boundaries firm. That time died with Voldemort. Now, a generation who thought they'd already won the war are finding out that the war was a symptom, not the disease. Arguments over blood status have shifted focus but remain no less heated. Accusations are both far flung and festering quietly as light and dark fade to the background and new battles are begun. Schism is a social game with deeper game-wide plots as well. Set in real time, it revolves around the lives of those left to rebuild the Wizarding world and their struggle to see it become what they want it to be. Most wanted Bill and Charlie Weasley, Draco Malfoy, Pansy Parkinson, Blaise Zabini, Augustus Pye, Caleb Proudfoot, Angelina Johnson, Katie Bell, Michael Corner and many more! It is the year 2001, the Wizarding World of Great Britain has been under the Dark Lord's rule for nearly five years. The Golden-trio is only marginally closer to solving the puzzle of victory than they were immediately following their beloved Headmaster's death. Muggleborns have been rounded up and held in cells at Azkaban. Those under the spell of the Complacens potion remain content with the government, but there are those who are beginning to fight it; those few that are beginning to build immunity to the potion and are assembling secretly underground. Where will you be when the world as we now know it burns to the ground? Will you continue to live under the draconian rule of the Dark Lord? Game opened on July 30, 2010. Epic battles are on the horizon, as is the battle between Harry and the Dark Lord, between good and evil. The wizarding world fell into peaceful times following Harry's seventh year at Hogwarts. Unfortunately, peace doesn't last forever. Painswick University is the oldest wizarding university in the United Kingdom. Nestled in the hills of England, Painswick has been home to the academics of the wizarding world. With a vast program of studies in a small town with a personal feel, Painswick can offer incredible opportunities to witches and wizards looking to further their educational journey. We see Painswick University as a fantastic opportunity for more adult character development and a chance to put the Harry Potter canon in a new environment. But what would happen if the Muggles found out about the wizarding world? And what if, among the Muggles, there was a group keen on causing a stir akin to the Salem Witch Trials? In this AU Harry Potter generation RP, Painswick University shows us just what can happen when the wizarding world as a whole comes under attack. |

It's 1977; school's out for Summer, but this Summer feels strange... dark, somehow. It won't be long before school will start again, and Owls from Hogwarts are winging their way across the country with the promise of another perfectly normal year at Hogwarts. Homework will be piled on, the threat of looming exams being beaten into ignorant minds, but for now, at least, it's Summer, yet... something doesn't feel right. It's so much darker this year than it was last year. The days seem to be shortening beyond comprehension. The fog is thick and cold and constant, not to mention the fact that everyone seems so glum. There are disappearances being noted in the newspaper, but everything seems vague, as though someone knows what is going on, but too afraid to voice it aloud. The adults seem a bit on edge, uncertain how to handle the evil that is lurking in the shadows. The students, for the most part, are completely unaware of what is going on, even those whose parents are deep in the throes of swearing their allegiance to one side or another. The students, it seems, live in a world of their own, one untouched by the misery and doom of the outside world. Still, there seems to be something very unpleasant lurking unsaid, something creeping and crawling into the very veins of those it infects. Though there are only whispers, and people are afraid to voice their fears out loud, there are some things that cannot be fought. After all, it's difficult to feel protected by magic when the other side can use it, too. | |

Diagon Alley – April 2003 It's 2003 and the Wizarding World has come a long way since the Final Battle. Death Eaters have been tried and dealt with fairly under the watchful eye of the new Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt and a reformed Wizengamot. Diagon Alley and Hogwarts have been rebuilt. Slowly the magical community has rebuilt and healed from the destruction of Voldemort's reign. Most characters make their home within Diagon Alley as new flats and residences have opened their doors. |

It's 1998 and Wizarding Britain is a very different place. Voldemort controls a puppet Ministry and is seeking to expand his grasp into Europe and, eventually, the world. But he is not unopposed. There are many resistance groups working to keep him from accomplishing his goal and, among these, there is one that stands out from the crowd: The Order of the Phoenix. Secreting Muggleborns out of the country to keep them from enduring the horrors of Ministry-run "work camps", the Order is fighting a losing battle. Their last hope lies with a carefully guarded secret: The identity and location of The Prophesied One. Sic Infit explores the possibilities of what could have happened had James and Lily Potter stuck with Sirius as their Secret Keeper. What could have happened if Harry had never become The Boy Who Lived? What if Lord Voldemort had actually won? |

| In 1995 the world is changing, and not everything is the way it has been in the life of Harry Potter or his friends. Fifteen years ago the Potters placed a Fidelius Charm upon their home with the help of James Potter’s best friend Sirius Black. It was because of this that Lord Voldemort never discovered the location of the Potter home, thus, Lily and James Potter were very much alive. Also hidden, the Longbottoms avoided their own ghastly fate. Harry grew up in a loving home under the protection of the Charm and is far from the poor boy that he once would have been at Privet drive. With his parents around, Neville was not coddled, but loved and became well balanced early on in life. Upon entering Hogwarts, Harry soon learned the world was not exactly as his parents and uncles had made it out to be. Neville was pleased that everything was what he had hoped for. In the years since Lord Voldemort’s disappearance the Wizarding World had become a place of tension and strife. Wizards that were Pure-bloods were looked upon with suspicions, Half-bloods were being shunned by both sides for not being on one side or the other, and Muggle-borns were vanishing before they had a chance to even attend Hogwarts. In this world the Order worked to protect the Muggle-borns and get them out of the country for their own safety. The Aurors arrive after the attacks and have the gruesome job of cleaning up. No one is sure who leads these attacks, but everyone suspects the socialite Bellatrix Black Lestrange and the fair Lord Lucius Malfoy. The Ministry of Magic is split in two. When the current Minister, Bartemius Crouch Senior, came into office he led the largest dark wizard hunt of the century. Unfortunately, his wide nets caught up the blundering or the stupid but allowed the slipperiest of the Dark Lord’s followers through, including the Minister’s own son. Barty Crouch Jr, still firmly in under the direction his Lord went on to work for his father at the Minstry. At the beginning of the 1995 school year he was inducted as the current Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. The Ministry is rife with the corruption of the Death Eaters lying in wait for their Lord’s return. Their day is here and now. If the Order cannot handle it, if the Ministry is too subverted to control it, then what are the two Prophesied Children to do? It is up for Harry and Neville to hopefully rise to the occasion, for the sake of the Wizarding World |

| Crynhoi: An AU Harry Potter Trio Era Game |
Voldemort is dead and Harry Potter is missing, assumed to be the same by most. The brave souls that fought have been mourned and The-Boy-Who-Lived has been celebrated as the hero of heroes. But now what? School's starting up again this September, but things are going to be a little bit different. Hogwarts is in no shape for students, so everyone's being shipped off to another location. A school called Sangster Institute! Headmistress McGonagall has some done away with the House system. Don't worry, Quidditch still exists and she hasn't forgotten the kids that didn't get a chance at taking their NEWTs. You can't get out of your Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests that easily. But the students feel at a constant unease in their new enviroment, even Aurors were sent. Do they have a reason to be so unnerved? WANTED CHARACTERS Desperately Seeking: Quidditch players and Prefects, Students with loses and/or imprisoned family, anyone that still holds a grudge for losing the battle or even against those that lost.
