 Life can change in an instant. One second, one inch makes all the difference. 25 March, 1998; everything changed. After breaking the taboo on Voldemort's name, Harry, Ron and Hermione were captured and taken to Malfoy where they were only saved with the intervention of Dobby, the House Elf who was tragically killed. What if not everything went according to plan? As Dobby gripped Harry's hand, Bellatrix Lestrange hurled her knife across the room, one second earlier. It struck, one inch to the left. As Dobby collapsed, Voldemort arrived and Harry Potter was plunged into the hands of the Dark Lord. Now, it is nearing the end of 1998. Life has flowed on with little to disrupt Voldemort's puppet Ministry. For a time things seemed calm, as the Ministry slowed changes and life started to return to normal. Yet, rumours have started to circulate that Pius Thicknese is about to retire from the post of Minister and will soon be replaced by someone so much more sinister. Voldemort would only sit back for so long and that time has now passed. It will not be long now. Welcome to Inimicum! Recent advances in muggle technology threaten to put an end to the Statute of Secrecy and the fragile peace magical society has finally achieved. One mysterious new group aims to put an end to the Statute by any means necessary. They've drawn up a list of enemies, posted it for all to see and, one by one, terrible things are happening to the people whose names appeared on it. | |

It is the year 2001, the Wizarding World of Great Britain has been under the Dark Lord's rule for nearly five years. The Golden-trio is only marginally closer to solving the puzzle of victory than they were immediately following their beloved Headmaster's death. Muggleborns have been rounded up and held in cells at Azkaban. Those under the spell of the Complacens potion remain content with the government, but there are those who are beginning to fight it; those few that are beginning to build immunity to the potion and are assembling secretly underground. Where will you be when the world as we now know it burns to the ground? Will you continue to live under the draconian rule of the Dark Lord? Game opened on July 30, 2010. Epic battles are on the horizon, as is the battle between Harry and the Dark Lord, between good and evil. Most wanted characters by other players include: Daphne Greengrass, Arthur Weasley, Molly Weasley, Aberforth Dumbledore, Fenrir Greyback, Sally-Anne Perks, Ministry Workers, Order members, On the Run Muggleborns and more. Because after disaster strikes, the important thing is that you move on. But if you're like me, you just keep chasing the storm. The problem with chasing the storm is that it wears you down, breaks your spirit. Even the experts agree. A girl needs closure.”-Veronica Mars Seven years ago, the Dark Lord Voldemort fell, finally bringing an end to his vicious reign of power and terror. Yet, the war did not end with his death. For years, the Wizarding World has worked to repair the damages left during the aftermath of war. Emotional burdens have yet to fully heal, too many lives destroyed, families torn apart, and friends lost. Hogwarts was left in rubble, unable to reopen for years, the damage too great, endless sweat and tears shed as people worked to rebuild the foundations to give their children a future. Death Eaters still roam free, cunningly avoiding even the best Aurors, leaving many in fear that another war will be on the horizon. As things begin to resemble some semblance of normalcy, an old follower of Voldemort is in the wings, plotting his revenge, gathering the remaining Death Eaters and new followers, planning to unleash a new war, wanting to finish his master’s vision. In the Ministry, a serial killer is murdering powerful political figures, leaving everyone pointing fingers and letting things slip through the cracks. Fenrir Greyback has escaped from Azkaban, butchering countless individuals as he runs from Aurors, gathering and making new werewolves in his travels, gathering an army to strike against the Ministry. All the while, the Muggle World is at war, affecting the Wizarding World as it heightens. The world is in complete chaos. Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt is determined to rebuild the Wizarding Community into a vision of peace and has called forth some of the best Aurors from around the world in an effort to clean up the United Kingdom, determined to capture and imprison the remaining Death Eaters and send a clear message of constant vigilance to those seeking to do more harm. Many are unhappy with the Minister’s plans, many seeking to replace him and other important individuals, some willing to go to great lengths to achieve their goals. Tolkien Halloween, 1981, the Dark Lord Voldemort fell at the hands of one-year old Harry Potter, bringing an end to a decade long reign of terror, to the relief of the entire Wizarding World. Death Eaters were imprisoned, wounds healed, and the Wizarding World spent the next decade healing from the pain of the first war. Yet, Voldemort was not truly defeated that night. He will rise once more, bringing upon another viscous war upon the Wizarding World. Everyone knows the story of Harry Potter, but until now, the story of what happened in between has been unknown. It is 1990, the year before Harry Potter will discover he is a Wizard. Professor Quirrell is off to Albania where he will become a vessel for the weakened Dark Lord, Charlie Weasley and his friends are in their sixth-year at Hogwarts, and the foundation for the future is being paved.  A poltergeist who randomly switches furniture from one flat to another, even (as in the case of a bed) while it's still being used. A caretaker's skeleton key charm which goes awry and passes the effect onto random building inhabitants, giving wayward sorts like Lee Jordan a means to "break into" other residents' homes and generally make a nuisance of themselves. A scraggly but oddly attractive bum who adopts the building's entrance as his own and tells tenants, such as Luna Lovegood and Anthony Goldstein, that they are the reincarnations of Nimwe and Merlin respectively. And that's just what's been happening recently. Welcome to Euterpe's Corner. Whatever else it may be, it's never boring. We are an experienced and fun (if dubiously sane, much like some of our characters) collection of players looking for some new blood to flesh out a comprehensive cast and contribute a few key characters. Those characters would be: OLIVER WOOD: We had a fantastic Oliver with a great dynamic within his flat (dubbed the pro Quidditch flat) but the player sadly had to leave us due to LJ accessing issues. Wilda Griffiths and Meaghan McCormack would love a new Oliver to tease, and their respective players would open their arms to you. Plus Oliver gets to live in a cushy upper level flat! DENNIS CREEVEY: Some more characters in their late teens would be good to balance out the comparitively geriatric 20-somethings, and a wizard who lost a sibling during the war would have a lot of good material to work with characterisation-wise. It is a lighter game set in 2002 and things have settled down since the war (Slytherin even had its first Muggleborn student!), but some scars remain and there are residents who were incarcerated during the war, so he wouldn't be out of place. NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM: Another character whose progress after the war would be interesting to track. Our fantastically played (but rather lonely) Luna currently has no flatmates, so she would welcome either Neville, a Dennis, or a HANNAH ABBOTT. Unlike other games based on a no-war environment, Euphoria Lane provides mod designated events on a local, national, and international scale, so there will always be a plot to follow, alongside in-depth character development.
