ABOUT
RP Tutorials is designed to...

1) Provide members with layouts (including character lists, user info layouts, character profiles, advertisements, CDJ directories) and templates (like rules) they can customize.
2) Explain how to create and edit the layouts featured in this community (or even elsewhere) on their own.
3) Provide tools and tutorials related to RP from how to advertise and communities to advertise your RPG at all the way to free usernames, the best firefox add-ons for RPers, a complete guide to RP lingo, and how to transfer icons from one account to another.
4) Link players to resources where they can get personal help, whether it's a helpline where players can go to when they run into trouble, personalized feedback on their RPG, or a request for certain things be featured in this community.

RULES

2) When making a post to the community follow the posting format found below.
3) Because this community is aimed at giving members layouts they can customize (or keep as is) to fit their community's needs, it's unacceptable to ask that no one alter what you've posted here.
4) Despite the above, this doesn't mean credit isn't necessary (although some members might not ask for it). So, if you use a significant portion of someone's work, make sure to credit them. This means while no credit is required for something regularly done with HTML (like a basic table or crediting someone for showing you how to use anchor links), a layout with areas for certain elements to be added already established (for example, a profile layout with a place for a picture, text, and navigation) does require credit. If you're unsure whether or not you should credit, ask the creator. Moderators will not personally enforce crediting as it's impossible to regulate who joins the community and for what reason. The preferred method of crediting is to link to the entry on this community. In doing this, the person searching for a layout doesn't have to hunt around the creator's journal (sometimes without success) to find the layout, the creator is clear, and you advertise the community (which also benefits other members).
5) Not a rule per se, but... if you find something wrong with a post, please tell the poster so they can fix it!
