In 2029, Wizarding England stands at the cusp of a new Quidditch season. With the darkest ages of the Wizarding world long behind them, witches and warlocks alike are prepared to leave their troubles at the door of every stadium - whether they support the Harpies, the Wanderers or Puddlemere United, magic users across the globe are united by their obsession. Tabloids spill over with gossip, fans gather in the streets, and posters of nearly every player sell out in stores across the countries. Professional Quidditch players are stalked by fans and paparazzi alike, whether in the pursuit of an autograph or a juicy story - there is no such thing as privacy in such a career. And above all else, every member of every British team intends to do one thing this season: win.

 The year is 1977. Voldemort has been gaining power and followers, but for the most part Hogwarts has continued to remain sheltered. There have of course been questions of disappearances and disturbances in both the muggle and wizarding world, and Voldemort has begun recruiting students from more influential families. There is no indication yet of exactly what scale all of this will eventually amount to, but things have begun to take shape, no matter how normal the Hogwarts staff tries to keep life at school. | Twenty-five years after the fateful Tournament, the political atmosphere in Britain and Europe had changed drastically. The threat of the Dark wizard known as Lord Voldemort had disappeared, and in the years following the triumph, governments arose that were much more focused on cooperation and tolerance among wizards and witches at home and internationally. In 2019, a contingent of people led by Second Wizarding War hero Harry Potter and Bulgarian Quidditch superstar Viktor Krum formed, eager to encourage the next generation to focus on others' similarities rather than their differences. Both leaders spoke eloquently of the lasting friendships they had made and the valuable lessons they had learned during the 1994 Triwizard Tournament. They advocated a replacement event for the student population. With the assistance of the International Association of Quidditch, three years later, the inaugural Junior International Quidditch Tournament is set to begin. Four Quidditch teams representing their schools will compete against each other in a series of matches throughout the academic year, with two finals at the end of the year to determine the overall winner. And alongside all the Quidditch fever that is sure to grip the castle, the typical difficulties of an academic year at Hogwarts must still be traversed: exams, friendships, romance, and antics. The year is 2032 All members of professional Quidditch teams now live together in their team's designated house. Each house is located on the outskirts of Hogsmeade Village and has it's own pitch. All pitches are surrounded by tall hedges to prevent others from seeing what is going on during practices. Each team member has their own room and there are two bathrooms - one for the male house members and one for the females. There are also two loo's. Each house has a large kitchen, grand dining area, an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, pool table and common room - where housemates can come to read, play Wizard's Chess, write letters, etc. There is a House-Elf stationed in each house who takes care of all of the cooking and cleaning; and can run minor errands for the residents. Visitors to the team houses are allowed, but not during any practice sessions. Residents are allowed to leave their houses to do whatever they want - as long as they are back home by 10pm. A full set of house rules will be presented at the start of the game. Every other week a challenge will be presented. Each house will compete against the other houses. Participation is optional - but the winners will receive worthwhile rewards. How will your characters get along with their house mates? Can they learn to coincide - no matter what their political views are? Can they come together to be a strong team? How will they now get along with their mates from other teams? ....... It's all up to you. |

firebolt_mod | chariots_ooc |I play Emma Dobbs over at Chariots. She needs more friends and love interests for the game. It's hard for her since she's the only homosexual woman in the game. She's had a couple of encounters, but I'm really looking for a steady active player to play her Girl Friday. Someone who's not going to get half-way through a thread then disappear on me. :(
