As many of you know, I am leaving the guild and the city today due to an urgent personal matter. I wish I could remain and work with the citizens of Emillion to restore order, but unfortunately, sometimes Faram's plan runs counter to the plans of humes, and I must go.

It has been my honor to know you, and I wish I did not have to leave you at such a difficult time. Even if I remain absent, trust that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hello everyone, are you all well? Today was incredibly beautiful, and thus I hope you spent your day in the warm sun. I am very sorry this is coming at such short notice, but I'm afraid my hands have been tied, and I assure you not in the literal sense. My birthday is this Friday, and rather than organizing anything particularly lavish, I had thought perhaps we could have a picnic in the park during the lunch hour. I have been able to sort through some of the papers I found when Perdita assisted me with cleanup on the tenth floor. I have some serious concerns, and still far more questions than answers.

It also seems from my meeting with my contact in the EKP that some individuals are choosing not to report cases of assault or harassment to the guild. I am uncertain what, if anything, should be done.

On behalf of the Mages' Guild, I would like to thank those who have so far contributed to the reconstruction efforts around Emillion as well as in the environs of the Mages' Tower, including of course those who have given their support to those who needed it. There is much left to accomplish yet, but I am proud to announce that repairs are coming along nicely.

The Fighters' and Bards' Guild have our heartfelt appreciation as well, for their invaluable support and their continuing efforts to cooperate with our guild to make Emillion a better and safer place to live in.

The offer of assistance that I announced weeks ago as Councilor still stands, and I would like to renew it as Sage. Any who find themselves in need of help may come to us, if they so wish, and we will do our best to provide.

Additionally, as the lower floors of the Tower are completely rebuilt and classes have resumed, I would like to invite those still concerned with the way our guild operates to come observe one or several of the basic classes being taught to scholars, over the next month and starting this upcoming Monday. A list of classes available for free audit will be made public this evening. Members of the other guilds and citizens alike are welcome to attend, with the understanding that the Tower is a place of learning and that atmosphere should not be disturbed. We also cannot promise that those who attend will emerge accomplished casters, as such is a matter of magical affinity and discipline, though our instructors will be happy to answer lesson-related questions as they would for any other student.

First of all, thank you to everyone who took the time to vote during the recent election, as well as those who have assisted, and continue to assist, with reconstruction efforts. It is thanks to those efforts that we can make use of the Tower in semi-normal conditions again.

Let us not forget, in these troubled times, that while it is true the Mages' Guild saw their Guildmaster at the center of the recent attack on the city, one person's evil cannot erase the good done by hundreds. The value of the Mages Guild's past efforts to defend us from harm, efforts which they replicated during this past tragedy, is not diminished by their late Sage's rampage. It may well be that words and apologies will not bring back what was lost, but neither will hostility. We must have faith.

I will dispense with formalities in this instance as I am certain we have more than enough work with which to fill our days.

I recognize that the following days, weeks, and potentially months, will be trying upon your guild, and yourselves. I also recognize that after an event like what has transpired, people will be scared, and looking for others to blame. That there is potential for back lash, and with the precarious state of affairs, there is a high likelihood for it to occur to innocent, good, strong, kindhearted people who have done no wrong. Times like these are when scapegoats are created for crimes not their fault, and villains are made of people with beautiful souls.

With these things in mind, and my own personal, strong desire to assure that as little harm come from this event, as we have already lost so much, I would like to offer what spaces I am in command of - as my own personal choice, and not connected to my guild, or my position - as asylum for those of your guild who need to seek refuge from harm, of fear of the outside when required.

However, I will not do so without permission of your council. Thus, this message is to offer what I have, and seek your permission to offer your guild safe house within the Armory, my apartment, and potentially my office at Bahamut hall as needed for anyone who must escape the outside world temporarily whilst in the duration of such a trying time.

Our thoughts go out to everyone that has been affected by this tragedy. For the displaced, there is some room at the standing guild halls, but we won't be able to accommodate everyone, unfortunately.
