Hey, everybody! Just a heads up, for the Founders Festival, Morning Glory is offering a two-for-one special! Everyone who orders one of our breakfast plates before noon will get a second one free, so bring a friend, bring a date, bring your mother (she deserves it!), and most importantly, remember to tip your waitress ♥

The Roast is also offering half off on all single pound bags of freshly ground coffee for the week of the festival! Which is this week, so you know, come visit me at work and buy a bag on my shift. I make commission, in case you were wondering. ;)

Does the sight of a squire trying to take on men and women a decade older in a drinking competition ever stop being fucking hysterical?

Were we all that stupid at 15? I'm pretty sure I knew better than to challenge a Kerwonian at ale drinking, at least.

Do you know what's a fantastic start to the new year? A gross old berserker old enough to be your father's father slapping your backside when you bend over to pick up the fork he dropped, probably on purpose. Good morning and happy new year, everybody. >:(

If anybody is interested, my father is taking on special orders for the first half of this new year for the right price. Don't bother trying to talk him down though, he's in a rather foul mood since one of the apprentices managed to knock over a shelf and its displays earlier last week. Young men can be so clumsy sometimes! ♥

Have you two gone to visit the shrine yet? I haven't because I slept in when my family went, and I think my mother is going to kill me if I don't go by the end of today. We can even go when you get off of work, Yuuko. It won't even be that long, maybe like thirty minutes at most, and I'll buy you both rice cakes and we can eat near the docks, or Yuuko can cook and we can [...] watch her cook?

What I'm trying to say is, please come with me, I don't want to go alone. Please please please.

With the new year upon us, it appears all around town are filled with resolutions for self-improvement. No matter their occupation or calling in life, we all seek to attain that perfect version of ourselves. A worthy goal, in my opinion—to carry out one's role to the best of one's ability, to give the best one can give, to inch closer to perfection.
