i'm going to be out of emillion for the foreseeable future, so unfortunately you won't be seeing my face around the clinic or the tower..... so be prepared lest ye enter the clinic unwarned! it's only for a year, though, so i'll see you all on my return & i'll expect all the catchup drinks when i do. and before anyone asks: it's good news, i'm furthering my masters via the uni.

I'm sure there's a lotta people out there that are planning on getting pretty drunk tonight. If you're going out with those plans, make sure to bring at least one sober friend so you don't get in too much trouble, yeah?

Keep in mind the following while drinking to assure fun and not an intimate visit to the porcelain throne:

• If you can, make sure to drink and eat non-alcoholic based items before beginning your alcohol consumption. Drinking on an empty stomach is no fun for anyone.
• Only have one type of drink, don’t mix your drinks. Some people can get away with this, but not everyone.
• Alternate between alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks to help steer clear of hang overs.
• Avoid drinking in ‘rounds’ as it speeds up alcohol intake.
• Don’t let people top up your glass, it’s hard to keep track of how many drinks you’ve had that way.
• One serving of beer is roughly three-fourth's a pint.
• People of different body sizes have different levels of tolerance. The bigger you are, the more you can take before keeling over.

If you end up feeling ill, keep in mind that White Mages are stationed around the commoners district to help if they like it or not in case any instances of alcohol poisoning occurs.

I highly recommend The Con Man! It's a new cast from the one that showed a few years ago, but this cast is absolutely phenomenal and the music is fun and the story is great! It's showing at the Sphere until Scorpio 25th, and believe me, it's worth seeing again and again!

Hi! I don't know if you remember me, but we met at the Lux & Livre about a month ago and you recommended some white magic books for me? They've helped me out a lot with Protect and Shell. I still don't think I'm anywhere close to being able to do Wall yet though since I'm still not as consistent as I'd like to be with those two spells but I haven't been able to look at the Esuna book yet, but I know it'll be just as useful!

Anyway, you had offered that if I needed more help to ask you and [...] well, if you aren't too busy, maybe whenever you're free, you can help me with Esuna more? I'm hoping to be able to crack open the book sometime this week so I won't go into it unprepared, so don't worry, I won't waste your time! By request, I will be holding a remedial class on Poisona, Vox, and other starting-level medical spells. Scholars and younger mages, please let me know if you are interested and what days would fit most easily into your schedules. This is for spells that cure specific afflictions, not generalized Cure spells.

I have recently been considering the possibility of forming a book club. It would perhaps be a weekly affair, possibly a weekend one, where we could come together and discuss favorite books or recommend some. One possibility I thought of was pairing up and exchanging books once every two or three weeks, but as a surprise. And perhaps having a theme each month? A different genre, author, or series of books, something like that. There could be baked goods as well, and I could provide tea.

If enough people are interested, we could hold it within the Tower, but if this isn't possible, perhaps a local book shop?
