So for the written exam, I'm gonna need a scribe. Usually when I took written tests for classes as a scholar, they assigned an older student who had already taken and passed that class to scribe for me. I don't know how they do it for such a big and important exam like the Black Mage exam. Does anyone know? I'm not sure how long it's been since there was a blind mage before me.

Tomorrow, as some of you may be aware, a group of our finest mages have offered to set, and maintain - for the day - a section of palings around a stretch of the beach for the enjoyment of all who wish to partake in swimming or other beach based summer activities.

We hope this will assist in alleviating some of the recent tension that may have cropped up amongst the current populace, and please, do feel free to approach any paling recontructionist mage that may be available during the day if there are any questions, or concerns. You will be able to find them by the rich orange sashes they will be wearing throughout the day.

Such harrowing hearsay! What do you all make of this?

Two seats just opened up for a seminar at the University this Thursday through Saturday. It's called 'Circuits, Devices & Systems'. Give me a heads up if you want in. It's ridiculously interesting stuff, whether you're a Mist purist or an electricks enthusiast.

And, if you'll let us toot our own horns a little, everyone in the labs has been working their butts off for our particular presentation on Saturday's leg. Most interesting, in my opinion, will be a demonstration of a couple neat advances in prosthetics from our biomimetics division. Not anything we'll be seeing in the public domain for decades, unfortunately, but that's all the more reason to come take a look, isn't it?

Citizens of Emillion,

Everyone currently inside the city walls is advised to remain there until further notice. Travel outside the city is extremely discouraged until the undead threat is dealt with. If you are currently outside, please seek safety inside the city if you are able to do so. I repeat: stay in a safe place until further notice.

Siana, Divina, Maria and I have been able to confirm recently that the undead threat warned of in the last few days by the Rangers is real and much bigger than anticipated. As per Aspel's request, we investigated the area and tracked the undead to a very eerie cave. There were unidentifiable symbols written in blood on the outer walls and a number of scorch marks. Siana recognized these as similar to those found recently in murder scenes in Emillion. We were unable to investigate the cave owing to the large number of undead amassing outside (estimating around fifty around the time). We believe their numbers could be much, much larger inside the cave itself. This is not a threat that can be dealt with by a handful of people. We should rally as many fighters as possible to our cause.

I hardly think I need to ask after what we've seen, but please, gather as many supplies as you can in preparation for the attack. We will need to strike against the undead soon, before their numbers grow too large to deal with. I am currently on my way to procure as many healing potions as I can.

The Fighters' Guild requires assistance in ridding the outlands of a further infestation of undead. For those of you who who are willing to volunteer your time, I can ensure that your other duties will be redistributed as needed to make certain of availability. If you are deployed it will be with Fighters' Guild members for defense and support.

Those skilled in white magicks or fire elemental spells, including support magicks such as Enfire, are especially encouraged to assist.

Merrion and I will assist in organizing the volunteers and put you in touch with appropriate contacts at the Fighters' Guild.
