Good Day Citizens of Emillion,

I would like to take this moment to reach out to each and every one of you and speak upon the events that transpired last eve.

The Fighters Guild is aware of what happened and we had our first official response system testing due to it. This allowed the call for assistance to be spread across all guild council members so that each council could motivate their own members, and respond to the enemy in as timely a manner as possible. Thanks to the meeting of minds that the councils have been engaging in, there was a swift and concerted response from all guilds to ensure as immediate safety of our citizens as possible.

At this point, we would like to disclose that the immediate threat, as we are aware of it, has been dispatched. From here, significant resources are being repositioned into the investigation to find and eradicate any potential further threats with extreme prejudice.

If anyone has information regarding the culprit of such a horrendous crime, it can be reported to Bahamut Hall. All reports will be taken into consideration and if any lead to the arrest of the criminal in question, a reward will be gifted for the assistance.

Currently, myself and Councilmen Liu, plan to hold an open meeting, which any member of Emillion is welcome to attend to answer questions, and ease concerns or confusion, on: Gemini 30th, at 7pm in Bahamut Hall.

Recent events, I believe, have spurred a great deal of initiative from all members of the guild, and I've been very proud of your individual efforts over the course of this past month. There have been some new changes in leadership however, the lesser details of which I won't comment on, but the short of it is this: Councilman Drake Liu and Councilwoman Aspel Cassul will be made available to field your daily questions and concerns for here on. They have both pledged themselves to be as diligent and responsive to future challenges as the Fighters Guild both needs and expects. There will be an open reception at Bahamut Hall this afternoon, as is typical in these events, and I do hope many of you can make it.

Men and women need convictions. Perhaps it's that that separates us from the animal kingdom; although, it would seem the laws of nature act of its own prescribed notion of conviction, but regardless it's a palpable and real measurement to the societal, mental, and emotional health of the human being, of any sentient being that can be able to grasp that sense of conviction.

Yet it is on some days those convictions are put to the test, and you begin to question each motive you've ever done. You begin to ask yourself, are the ways in which we battle everyday to make our lives better, more complex, even remotely worth it if there are people around who are killing, murdering, and simply depriving innocents of their livelihoods?

I realize, of course, that the opinion I'm spewing forth today is hardly timely, and comes on the heels of brilliant investigative work. That, really, I'm delayed in my response, but really it took time for me to come to terms with my very own convictions.

My convictions are my own, and anyone who knows me well will know them. That being said, it's at these darkest of times we begin to understand that our convictions must be altered, not changed but altered in such a way, that they change perhaps even the very fabric of the person you are. I have sat too long staring at my experiments, when I realize my brilliance could be used in far more notorious and useful of ways.

So, that being said, the person or thing responsible for these grotesque murders will be stopped. By me. I will, of course, require help, but I will not sit quietly in my study letting the world pass by when there are those being killed under my watch. My conviction is that no one should be allowed to die until it is simply their time, and it is with that strongest of convictions that I will make certain that such things do not occur so long as I have the power and ability to stop it.

So... without further ado, anyone with any... substantial information should come forward. I realize there are 'privacy' issues, so if you wish to discuss this in private do so, but know that I'm your best option in catching these killers.

Darlings, I think it's about time we chipped in—officially—with the relief efforts. I have currently received a reward for my participation in the defense of the docks. I have decided to donate it to help with the repairs needed and aid businesses who need time to rebuild. If anyone else would like to help or participate in funding the restoration of the docks and it's surrounding residences and businesses, I will be located at the harbourmaster's office until tomorrow evening.

There's a lot of rumors spreading around the guildhalls this week, but I want to personally make it clear that we're reevaluating the number of fighters currently stationed at and around the docks and making sure the area remains secure form here on. We're down six valuable, honorable men and women, with another dozen still in the infirmary. They each held their position at the gate, and we too will hold fast as the gatekeepers and guardians of Emillion and all of its territories.

Proper recognition to the guild members who answered the call of duty will be afforded in due time. There's also [...] a number of recommendations being sent in by some of our more outspoken members to be processed as well. Keep your heads up, people, there's more double shifts changes to your weekly duties on the horizon.
