Entry Post: Lost in Thought - then simply lost... OTA
Who: Obi-Wan Kenobi and OTA
Where: Naboo then the Lobby of Here
When: What time is it, anyway? ;)
Rating: No clue. We'll say PG-13, and adjust if necessary.
Summary: An unexpected journey...
"The council has granted me permission to train you. You will be a Jedi, I promise."
~ Obi-Wan Kenobi, recent Jedi Knight, to young Anakin Skywalker, 'The Phantom Menace'.
He didn't know how long he'd been sitting at the window, staring out at the Naboo sky. In a few hours, he would attend the ceremony for his Master, Qui-Gon Jinn, at the Theed Funeral Temple. In the space of the last forty-eight hours, he had witnessed death and hope, and a myriad of other experiences that made for quite a memorable time. And yet he, felt empty.
He had made a promise, and despite his misgivings, he would follow through with that promise.
Obi-Wan Kenobi dragged a hand through his hair - and encountered his braid.
Master...
Young Anakin Skywalker was probably sleeping right now, or not, being as he was young and apparently full of boundless energy.
When did I start feeling old?
He sighed and stood, resolved to make himself ready. Still in his cloak and tunic, from his meeting with the Jedi Council, his lightsaber secure on his belt, he turned his back on the view and crossed the room. Intent on some meditation before a bath, he went through the door and paused, taking a moment to absorb the object before him.
There was a box on the counter. He looked around and frowned slightly before stepping forward and carefully lifting it. He examined it closely, discovered it contained thirteen, oddly-shaped pieces and tipped them onto the counter. It was a puzzle. From Anakin? He sighed, analyzed and assembled the pieces into a cube -
And found himself in some sort of reception area, with varied seating, pictures on the wall and large, draped windows with a view of beautiful lawns.
Obi-Wan blinked, strode out the doors into the sunshine, stopped and stared. He quickly deduced that not only was he not anywhere near his chambers, but that he was no longer on Naboo at all.
Re-entering the structure, he took a few cautious steps and tried to locate any clue as to where he had, somehow, been transported. He stretched his senses using the Force and came to an alarming conclusion.
"I have a very bad feeling about this," he murmured aloud.
