No Place Like Not-Home

Who: Chase and Kyle, Chase Kyle and Adam, Kyle and Adam
Where: Round the hotel
When: Morning

The last place that Kyle expected to be when he woke up that morning was his bed back in the hotel. It was disorientating, to say the least. For the first few moments, he had no idea where he was - only when he caught sight of the ripped pages of abandoned drawings by the side of the bed did everything come slamming back. He sat bolt up in bed, looking round the room. He was back. He wasn’t going to get lynched and burned at the stake or anything horrible like that. The relief was overwhelming - right up until the moment that it clicked in that he was alone. He scrambled out of bed, throwing on jeans and a shirt. He needed to go check on the others, make sure everyone made it back okay.

Who: Ella and Tierney
Where: The Regent Hotel
When: Around noon

When Ella woke up in her hotel room she was both relieved and annoyed. She was relieved to be in familiar surroundings again, but annoyed because she still didn't have her freedom, which meant she wouldn't be seeing her family any time soon. A part of her was starting to really enjoy Lavel, especially because she could walk around and explore as she pleased and she had been yanked away from it all so suddenly. Now that she was back in the hotel she was stuck there with no way of escaping and there was nothing she could do to change that. She considered complaining to management again, but she knew that didn't get her far last time. She was convinced it wouldn't get her far this time. In fact, the only thing she would accomplish was to get herself pissed off which was an emotion she wasn't in the mood to feel right now.

Since a lot happened while in Lavel she was going especially slow that morning. She took her time waking up and slept in for as long as possible, eventually rolling out of bed for breakfast then rolling back into bed to get more shut eye. It wasn't until roughly eleven forty-five in the morning that she woke up for good and hopped in the shower. As she was brushing her teeth while waiting for the conditioner to soak into her hair she heard laughter. She finished up her brushing, rinsed her hair out and peeked out of her shower. "Hello?" she called. The laughter continued. It was children's laughter and it caused her to end her shower then and there. She exited the bathroom and found an outfit to wear quickly. The laughter sounded like it was coming from the room next door. She wondered why there would be children in this hotel. She knocked on the door to the room next to hers, but no one was answering the door. She couldn't stop herself from asking out loud, "What's going on around here?"

Foolish Missions in Horrid Places

Who: Finn and Norman
Where: Norman's Room
When: late morning

Norman was scared. Maybe scared was an understatement. Maybe crazy was the real word. He had his hands clutching the inside of his blue cloak to his chest as he walked, maybe with more purpose than before, through the halls of the hotel. He didn’t know where he needed to go, but he knew he needed to get away from these terrible footsteps. Every time he turned around they stopped, but as soon as he started walking again so did those other footsteps. And he was scared. Really scared. Hurrying more, he turned a corner quicker and more hastily than he would normally have in effort to find somewhere safe and without these footsteps.

Seeing and Hearing Things

Who: Edison and Kennedy
Where: The Hotel (her room)
When: Morning

Edison woke up back in his bed. That was the best part. It wasn’t really his bed, but after the medieval times? The bed was a god send. For the first few minutes after waking he didn’t move. The bed was comfortable, a step above sleeping on the floor like he had be. Nothing was trying to attack him. It was calm almost. At least until the screaming started. It was distant, but he could hear it. Someone was screaming. He sat up, looking around the hotel room that looked exactly like it had when he left it. There was nothing out of order, nothing that said someone should be screaming, but he felt like he needed to look into it. Sure, he’d seen enough horror films to know that he shouldn’t, but it wasn’t stopping and the pull was too much to ignore. He changed quickly, dragging his fingers through his hair and heading into the hallway to see if the screaming was there too.

Kennedy's morning started out okay. She seemed to have slept well, and the second she realized she was back in the hotel, she showered. She still looked like shit from the animal attacks and all that, but a shower was glorious. Or, it was right up until her vision sparked and she saw blood running down the walls of the stall. She jolted and stumbled back, losing her footing. She dumped herself out of the shower entirely, landing on her ass in the bathroom. Blinking, she stared, but...yeah, no blood. Just a shower. She squeezed her eyes shut, wondered if maybe she was cracking up, then wrote it off as stupidity on her part. She got back in the shower and quickly finished up. She got herself ready for the day – which in this case included a pj outfit, because after the last few days 'lazy' was the way to go.

Walking out into the hall, she screamed, seeing blood everywhere. The floor was soaked, the walls were splattered, drips even fell from the light fixtures above her head and she quickly reached up to wipe her cheek, where she swore she even felt it drip onto her face.

Who: Tierney and Christer
Where: The Regent Hotel
When: Morning

While she'd had no idea how she had gotten back here, Tierney was secretly relieved to wake up in that damn hotel room again. She would have prefered to wake up back home, but this was a slight improvement from that weird medival place she'd been the last couple of days. Sitting up in bed, she looked around the room to get her bearings. It was only a moment or two before she jumped up and hurried to her bag to dig through it. Pulling out a large plastic bag, she began removing numerous little orange precription bottles, carefully lining them on the floor in front of her. After checking the label of each, she then went though each, counting the pills in each container as she mumbled to herself.

So concerned with the medications, it took a moment before she noticed the shadow cast on the ground, hoving over her. Startled, she jumped slightly and looked behind her. Spotting the faceless, suited figure, Tierney frowned and hastily put her things away, pocketing a handful of different colored and shaped pills. "Who the hell are you?" Getting no response, and feeling uneasy at being watched, she stood and hurried out of her room. She needed to take her medication and doing it on an empty stomach was definitely a bad idea. Hopefully she could kill a few birds with one stone: lose this creeper following her, score a snack, and get back onto her med schedule sooner rather than later.

CHAPTER THREE - DAY ONE

Events

Today, people wake up back in their hotel rooms, though there is a strange door in the basement shaped like a castle door from Lavel. It leads back to that kingdom. While the day is normal in most respects, it isn't for everyone...

Tierney is followed by a shadow. It's of a tall person, in a suit, though male/female is difficult to determine. It's head is rounded and seems to contain no features, or at least, none that cast a good enough shadow to tell. No one is seen following her around, just the shadow is cast, always as if there is someone standing behind her.

Ella hears laughter today. It's children's laughter, and always just a bend ahead in corridors, or just in the next room of the one she's currently in. There doesn't appear to be any children around to be laughing, but it's most certainly something Ella can hear.

Maize is plagued by power issues today. Everywhere she goes, the lights/electricity will flicker. They will return to normal when she isn't in the vicinity, but the effect is definitely following her around.

Adam is followed by a crow today. Even if killed, the bird will shake it off, and continue it's pursuit.

Finn feels an intense dread before entering or leaving any room, or before turning down a hallway. It's inexplicable, has no source he can pinpoint, but it's very clearly there.

Christer hears dramatic, scary music everwhere he goes, before any action he takes. His life now has the soundtrack of a horror film.

Edison can hear distant screams for help any time he's been someplace for longer than five minutes. The screams are always distant, he can never catch up to the source.

Norman hears footsteps behind him everywhere he goes today. No one is there, but the footsteps are loud and clear.

Kennedy has hallucinations today. Occasional flashes of blood splattering the walls appear, and anyone she sees she will have flashes of them being messily dead.

Autumn seems to be haunted today. Doors shut behind her even if no one shut it, objects move just beyond her reach, etc.
