Let Me Make It Up To You

Who: Chase and Justin
When: Late morning
Where: Their tent

Chase knew there was a conversation coming. He'd seen that look in Justin's eyes when he made his way to him the night before, knowing that his tiny little scheme hadn't worked as expected and he was going to hear it. He had already been thinking of ways to make it up to him, but then all hell had broken loose and they'd been focused on not dying because of rampaging wolves and birds and chipmunks of satan. The only reason Chase had made it out without major injuries was Justin, which had him lingering closer to the man the next morning, the tiny crush pushed into something bigger with the display of heroics.

The Set Up

Who: Justin, Chase, then Kennedy
Where: the banquet
When: evening

As much as Chase really didn't want to push Justin's attention somewhere else, he'd promised Kyle and it was matter of love versus a crush that was clearly going nowhere and even less places considering Chase wasn't usually the type to act on a crush. So when Justin seemed to have a break in his banquet action he found a space next to him with a smile, refilling his wine glass. "You looked great out there today. And definitely caught the attention of more than one lady."

Not Normal or Average

Who: Justin and Chase
Where: The banquet
When: Evening

Chase was doing his best to play proper squire to Justin, which wasn’t really hard for him. He was used to serving and going unnoticed. That was essentially his life in a strip club as a bartender. Just had a moment alone though as Chase brought back another mug of whatever it was everyone was drinking and set it in front of him. “You seem to be holding yourself well enough. And attracting quite a bit of attention.” He nodded towards a group of women staring at Justin from a few tables away. Not that Chase blamed them. He would stare himself if he let himself do that sort of thing.

where are we?

who: Connor, Chase and Justin
where: campsite
when: morning

Chase rolled over in his sleep, one arm flinging out to his right like he normally would on the large bed he'd fallen asleep on, only to make contact with another person. That pulled him from sleep enough to realize he hadn't gone to bed with someone and no one should be that close. He hadn't even gone to bed with someone before he wound up in the hotel. That wasn't his thing really. It wasn't like he met the best of people. Between the strip club full of mafia men and the porn set where was he going to to meet someone real? Nowhere. So dating wasn't a thing that Chase did. He pulled his hand away and blinked, realizing he wasn't in bed with someone just next to them on a straw mat, in a tent. A stranger, sleeping next to him. This was loads of not good.

Connor stirred when someone made contact with him, and he opened his eyes a moment later, realizing that he had to have fallen off the bed. Because holy shit was he uncomfortable. Groaning slightly, he moved and looked around, blinking at two other dudes. Also a tent, and straw mat, and... “What the fuck?” he said aloud, voice scratchy as he rubbed at his eye. He was hoping to get the 'two dudes in a tent' out of it.

Justin stirred, going from sleeping soundly to wide awake in an instant as he heard the swearing. That was never good. Especially when he was certain he had gone to sleep alone. He sat up in what apparently passed for a bed and looked at the other two. “O….kay? Anyone have any ideas?” he asked.

Bizarrchitecture

who: Monica and Justin (with a touch of Kyle)
where: around the hotel
when: late morning

Monica stumbled ever so slightly when instead of walking out into the dreary land of Ohio, she was simply in a long corridor that was clearly still part of the hotel. She pulled up short, hugging her bag to her stomach as she stared, wide eyes.

Justin almost ran into her as he stepped through the doors. He had been moving faster than her, but he hadn’t thought she would stop so soon. He stepped to the side as he stopped. A corridor. “Oh yeah - you know exactly where the doors are gonna lead.” He paused for a beat, then added. “Gotta say - of all the things I expected, this wasn’t even on the list.”

Kidnapped?

Who: Justin and Adam
When: Morning
Where: Lobby, second floor

Adam had watched Kyle go and loitered for a little bit, like the other man might come back through the door and explain just what the hell had happened between them, but after a few minutes, no such luck. Sure Kyle had said stuff about liking him, like more than friends liking him, but at the same time he'd paired it with not wanting to see him ever again. Which was downright confusing and made Adam wonder if the liking him part was supposed to soften the leaving blow and not a real thing. If Kyle was going though, he was going and Adam didn't have much of a reason to keep dwelling too much. Not when there were more important matters at hand, like finding Jeffrey.

Adam went back to wandering the hotel, trying out the public rooms on the lobby floor, looking for his friend, calling out his name here and there, but so far no such luck. After going around in circles he found himself back in the lobby again, checking a phone with no messages, feeling panic starting to rise. How had they gotten separated? They never got this separated. Even if one of them hooked up with a girl, the other always messaged him to let him know where he was. And now Adam was wondering if Jeffrey was worried, or worse, if he wasn't.

Justin had risen early and it had taken him a few minutes to get to grips with what was going on. Waking up in a strange hotel room wasn't really an issue, since he had gone to sleep in a strange hotel room - though far less sober and far less alone. And he was fairly convinced that last night's hotel room had a view over white sands and palm trees with floor to ceiling windows to make the most of that far. This hotel room... Didn't. He wasn't one to panic though, and a quick look around revealed the note which... was weirdly cryptic. Still, it was what it was. He had taken a shower, found the bag of his things - all present and correct, he was pleased to note. He had dressed - knee length khaki shorts, collared t-shirt, shoes without socks, fleece jacket. He pocketed his folding knife which he invariably carried. Then he decided he was going to go exploring. He hit the lobby and was about to ring at the front desk for service when he saw another guy. "Hey," he called out. "You any idea what's going on around here?"

who: Monica, Justin and Adam
where: the lobby
when: right after this!

By the time she got down to the lobby, she was still freaking out. God, was he crazy? Were they going to have to haul him away in a straight jacket? She got to the desk and looked around, seeing no one. Finding the bell, she started ringing it hard. Once. Twice, three times. No one appeared. "I need heee-eeelp!!!" she shouted, going back to incessantly ringing the desk bell. "For real, people! Come on, I think there's an escaped mental patient in my room! Doesn't anybody work here?!"
