The exhibition is being held on basement level, lower ground floor. The things don’t like sunlight.

Jessica here from Venus Envy Repose. Just letting everyone know that there is going to be a paint night in my shop next Sunday from 1-3pm. An artist will be in attendance to guide everyone through this painting, called 'The Female Flower'.

[Sunday, fliers go up around town announcing the Vade Mecum Collection which will come to the rec center on Friday evening. Unfortunately, the curator who made the fliers doesn't have an eye for design. The fliers are all very serious, colored in grays and blacks and with dark borders. There is no pretty imagery on the fliers, because they are very serious, these fliers. Instead, the time and date are listed, along with information about the collection that is going to be shown. Also included is an asterisk indicating there will be no refreshments provided, since the books are not to be touched with dirty fingers. The asterisk, also, unsurprisingly, is very serious.]

Anyone ever play that game two lies and a truth? I never played except this one guy at work kicked off a game at lunch and he won every single game with people. No one could guess when he was lying all his stuff was unbelievable but he could prove it. Maybe its just being a good liar or maybe its having enough stuff happen in your life you can find outrageous stuff easy.

I figure Repose is probably good for a few games.

I've visited the States before, but this is first official 'drop everything and cross the ocean to settle in this lovely corner of the world' sort of thing. It's certainly not boring. Yet. Is it ever?

Though do keep in mind that I welcome tips about the usuals - dirty pubs, mostly, but I'm collecting as much info as I can get about day-to-day life and things to do. Which pretty face(s) wants to assist me there? I'm quite a sucker for a pretty face.
