[B&B Lock]

[B&B Lock: Connie, Caleb, Felicity, Leena, Jack, Etain, Matt, PJ, Steve, Janus, Michael, Alex]
[After this.]

To be safe, let's get laptops, iPads, etc., out of the B&B before midnight Friday. Would be dangerous if everything exploded at once. To make it easier, bring your machines to the back. Will have a safe place for them, and will have beer and BBQ on. Late night feast. If it's a false alarm, like 1999, we all eat free then sleep. Sound good?

[B&B, Atticus]

Gosh, I'm terribly sorry if that fire alarm interrupted anyone's beauty sleep.

I hope you're planning on giving that resident firefighter of yours a bonus. [...] I'm covering the damages, of course.

[News: B&B]

[Shortly after midnight, there is a startled yelp from Room 14, followed by the very distinct smell of burning electronics flooding into the hallway. The smoke remains mostly contained behind the closed door, but the standard-issue alarm in the room does start beeping. Sorry, neighbors.]

[Public anonymously]

We discussed the worthiness of art and people. You were also soaking wet. Still alive?

How was the party? I think we can call it that, it wasn't a bloody art show.

I've been told to ask you to paint the skirtings multi-colors.

[B and B]

Tell me there's a magical hangover cure in circulation.

I need to know for the payroll if you're still here and in one piece.

Ordered in greasy breakfast food. Good for hangovers. Catering people are serving in the regular place all day.

Caleb's going to be taking over while Connie's away. Need anything, he's your man. Someone make sure they feed her dog.

I owe you an apology. And hey! I'm not dead! Exciting.

Not dead, if anybody was wondering. I just work at the happiest place on earth.

B&B Residents & Staff

[After moving in to room 16 Tuesday morning.]

I'm completely rubbish at these sort of things, but I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. I've a room on the third floor. Just moved in this morning. Does everyone here mostly keep to themselves or are we a friendly sort?

Anyways. Room 16. Feel free to come say hi as I get settled.

[Tethys Lockdown]

[A while after the initial chaos, well into the lockdown. The fleeing crowds have, er, died out a little. So aside from the alarms, the floor above ground zero is quiet, almost pensive, as if waiting--until a burst of static rips across the hallway intercom system, followed by the ominous sound of steel doors clanging shut in unison, all over the level. A new, localized alarm begins to sound somewhere nearby.]

[Hallway intercoms]
Ooh, shoot. [A long pause and then, cheerfully:] Um! Totally my bad.

All I wanted was to carry some waffles upstairs. Not throw them all over the hallway.

Town forums. Cute.

I'm Nick. Own the diner on Main. Anybody in town do odd jobs for cash?

Apr. 10th, 2016

[As 'Alex Holst'.]

Ooh, gosh. Town forums? If only catching up on local gossip was this easy everywhere.

[B&B Residents]
I forgot to ask a really super duper important question when I checked in: when's breakfast?

Apr. 9th, 2016

[A day or so after that mess of an egg hunt, there's a newcomer in town. Whoever they are, they make an entrance: a sleek, black, unmarked Crown Vic is spotted cruising down Main--with the kind of tinted windows, extra mirrors, and svelte bullbar that likely raise the hackles of anyone who's had a serious brush with the law before.

For those with any lingering doubts about intent, the vehicle remains parked outside of the busy Sheriff's office that morning, where a blonde in a very serious suit is seen emerging from the driver's seat. At night, the same car is spotted near the local bed and breakfast, where it then comes and goes for the foreseeable future. By the dinner hour, though, the gossip has already spread by way of chatter from law enforcement and eavesdroppers on the radios: the Feds are in town, and no one seems particularly happy about it.]
