Quicklog: Sasha & Daniel - Masquerade

[The woman that sashayed through the ballroom was all the saucy glitz and glamour of a 1930's Hollywood starlet. In a world of creatures that embraced darkness and shadow, Helen Hughes had a love affair with the spotlight. She craved attention and adoration the way most people needed oxygen, a social butterfly that relied on pulling strings of admirers to maintain power and status. The ballroom was a sea of people swathed in shades of black, but she preferred the draw of eye that the brilliant white gown she wore brought. The rumors of heartlessness and inhumanity that were whispered in her wake had to be exaggerations. No one with a smile that bright could be so cruel, even among monsters that fed on human blood to survive.

A real vampire wouldn't bother with this group of nerds, even if they were all pretty easy pickings. )]

A delivery and some news

To the owner of the gym )

[Much like the cat photos of a few months ago, another picture - this one black and white - shows up on Main Street. Different store, and this photo is flipped upside down until someone decides to turn it over.

This picture begins with the same street the photo is found on. Afternoon. The road is mostly empty, with mothers and telecommuting fathers and husbands, a few kids that are out early on work release all milling about on the sidewalk. Down the street comes the two racing cars and this photo is all about them. Without the sound, there's only the slight whirls of smoke, the deep tread of rubber laid down on the asphalt, the whirlwind of debris they leave behind and the stares of small town people in their wake. It almost looks like something out of a move in greyscale - which is doubtless why the photographer chose to desaturate it.]

[News: Tony Award Winning Troubadour]

Casey Donovan, Tony Award winner and grammy nominated performing artist spent his Sunday entertaining shoppers and residents of Repose with showtunes, original songs from his own recently released blues album, selections from the Great American Songbook, and even taking requests as he stepped out of the shoes of celebrity and into the shoes of local troubadour. What started as a simple enough morning playing guitar outside of his brother's antique shop turned into a day long free concert of sorts that drew crowds and even managed to drive up sales to several local businesses as he went door to door, taking his mini show "on the road."

He's promised to have a proper concert in the park once the weather warms up a bit. Though given the crowds he managed to draw today, it's likely they would show up even if the temperature dropped again.
