[A little after noon the Sheriff's Department releases a statement saying the (alleged) perpetrator behind the Easter egg hunt madness has been apprehended. His name is released. The man is an employee of Tethys, who claims only to have been interested in testing out a new hallucinogen—a claim made, it is noted by his counsel loudly and several times over—against aforementioned counsel's advice. (At the bail hearing, the man is denied bail with resources and reason to flee cited.) The Sheriff's Department is not taking questions at this time, but invites concerned citizens or those wishing to give statements to call.

When asked for comment on the matter, Tethys simply states they are cooperating fully with the authorities to bring their (ex-)employee to justice, and that they, like everyone else, are mournful and shocked at the man's willingness to pervert a town tradition for his own means, even in the name of Science. The company pledges to pay for any damages incurred to property or person.]
