[The newspaper doesn't report on purple mist. From the day it starts, the newspaper office is closed and locked and the windows are shaded. No issue appears in the diners and stores and there's no sign of another issue imminently. It looks like the local news has just stopped]

If there is somebody up there, he or she has a poor sense of timing. Heat's out. No ink this week, until the man who can work antiquated plumbing can come out to fix it.
