Family. Everyone wants one, but not everyone wants the one they have. Some are born alone in the world, some loose what semblance of a family they have through divorce, death, or distance. But not all families are blood relatives. The most curious types of families that come together because of a common attitude, interest, or goals. They find each other because they need the comforts of family and an ideal that will stick them together when other families would crumble apart. The loyalty and devotion to this new family entity becomes so strong in these cases that outsiders don’t quite understand what’s really going on.

After seeing the world around him reject him for what he was, Samuel looked for others like him, others who knew what it was like to be an outcast but no longer wanted that lifestyle for themselves. The family came first, and then the carnival was created so they could live, work, and thrive together. The carnival gave them a way to show off what others found horrifying – their abilities. It isn’t all fun and games though at the carnival – there is hard work and everyone has to do their part, but when you’re family, you do things for others that you might not do on your own.

A commitment to this carnival is a commitment to being in the family. It isn’t always easy to join the family, but it’s even harder to leave. Most never want to though, who would give up the chance of a lifetime – to be wanted, needed even, and be able to truly be themselves?

Heroes Fugitives

ReOpening on Monday May 18th, 2009!
Specifically Looking For: MATT PARKMAN, ANDO MASAHASHI, TRACY STRAUSS,
Rachel Mills, The Haitian, Sandra Bennet, Meredith, Red Eye, Carlos and more!!

PREMISE :: TAKEN :: WANTED :: RULES :: APPLY
After the events of March 29th, 2007 our Heroes are disheartened, spread across the U.S., and quickly losing their numbers.
And to make matters worse, one of their own was working up a plan that would sacrifice his peers to better himself.
As if that weren't enough, someone is out there with malicious intent toward people who are "special".
Someone is hunting and rounding up anyone with abilities. No one knows who the hunter is or where the hunter comes from.
And no one knows where their peers are going. Will opposing sides find allies in each other to end this menace,
or will they do as they always have and serve only themselves and their own purposes? Only time will tell...
and time is something they're running out of.

We will be mostly AU from there, but will incorporate some of the events

EXOGENESIS: Alternate Universe Heroes RPG on Inksome;

Critical moments in a species’ evolution are met with two things: birth and subsequent death. Technology may have once hindered man’s progression toward further evolution, but advances in biological science could now change everything. Daniel Linderman, a man with influence, power, and money, seeks to usher in a new age of man. Some would say that his goal is for the betterment of tomorrow— if only they knew what he was doing in the first place. For forty years, Linderman has been involved with conducting experiments amongst the general population under the guise of what he liked to call “Pharmaceutical Testing.” Hundreds of people have volunteered for these tests, never knowing that they were now guinea pigs for something that could change the world.

What will the next step in evolution be? Some might say superpowers, while Linderman whispers: “You’re right.”

Exogenesis is an alternate universe Heroes RPG that takes a look at the characters we all love without following any of the arcs introduced in the show. We have taken characters from canon, along with original characters, and put them in an entirely new situation and world. Discover what heroes are when they aren’t born with their powers, but are given them—and what new paths it’s possible to take along the way.

The Most Dangerous Game: A "Heroes" 'Verse RPG

PREMISE

Evolved humans. The next step on the infinite journey that is the evolutionary step ladder. People with extraordinary capabilities living right among us. They are special, they are unique. They are different... they are dangerous. And the government - with its expansive tools and its limitless scope - has trained its eye on them. The threat has been identified and now the clean up is underway.

The Most Dangerous Game is an RPG that will follow along the course of the current season of Heroes; specifically during the course of Volume Four: Fugitives. While canon characters will be in play and will be referenced, extensive knowledge of the show itself is not necessary. Any information you need about the universe will be provided for you.

You've all heard the story...
Good, bad, or dangerous-- abilities are springing up in the unsuspecting citizens of the world. And they must decide next what to do with these abilities, and what they decide will shape an ever-changing and never-safe future.

Now be a part of it all at HEROIC ESSENCE, an InsaneJournal roleplaying community started at the first episode of Heroes, the show, but since deviated thanks to the influence of its players and several creative Original Characters. The plot of this game is not dictated by any season, starting soon with hints at the machinations of the devious Pinehearst and the Company's Level 5 detainees. This is a good time to get in on the Company for some action.

There are many canons still up for grab, and this list is just a small presentation of what we'd like to see at HE:
