mandalus :: the city of fates.

[ Filling the screen was one Sam Flynn looking pretty cheerful, all things considered. As always plenty has been going on around the city and he's been working to get the arcade up and running (again) now that it showed up in the city (again). If there was something this place needed, it was somewhere that allowed people to waste their time on arcade games and air hockey while listening to the best music the eighties had to offer.

Which would explain why he was standing outside in the middle of the afternoon with the street side in the Business district acting as his background. ]

Some of you remember this place back when I was here in the city before, but for those who don't, I've got an announcement.

[ The video feed shifts suddenly, Sam no longer visible in favor of him holding it up to show a giant neon sign that reads "FLYNN'S". Seeing as it's daytime the sign has not been turned on, but still, it's big enough to be seen a couple of blocks away. ]

This here is Flynn's Arcade and it's open for business! Business meaning grab your piggy banks, stuff your pockets with quarters, and get on down here to play some games. You might think most of these games be a little out dated but I can assure you, nothing beats a classic. I'll be trying to bring in more games later on but for now-- just have some fun.

[ There's a note of humor to his tone and it's clear to see he's pretty happy about all this when the camera goes back to him. ]

Normal hours are doors open at ten in the morning and we close up at midnight. And if anyone is lookin' to earn some cash I could use some help running the place, especially during the morning hours. Just give me a call and we'll talk things over.

[ And after giving the address he winks before ending the feed. ]

[ When the video post starts up on the network, the face appearing on the recording should be familiar to some of the older residents of Mandalus. With eyebrows a little high and half a grin on his lips, Sam Flynn manages a slight wave at the camera. ]

Apparently you just couldn't stand not having me around. Can't say I really missed you folks running the place, but I know there are those I'd be happier to see after being stuck in meetings all day long.

[ Because, seriously, screw Dillinger Jr and the other guys trying to run his dad's company. ]

So... I'm guessing it's been awhile. If there's anyone who remembers me that's still around, mind giving me a ring? It'd be easier to catch up on what I missed that way. [ There was a pause before he added with a small chuckle. ] Preferably over a meal because I have no eaten all day. They're pretty stingy when it comes to snacking during conference calls and stuff.
