[The video switches on and Kate Freelander stands in the middle of the foyer of the Sanctuary. Her eyes are red with unshed tears.] For those of you who knew Dr. Helen Mangus, and you missed the earlier video in the chaos, both she and Peter Parker...are dead.
[Kate takes a moment to breathe and compose herself.] Most of you don't know me. My name is Kate Freelander and I work under Dr. Magnus. As of right now, with her...incapacitated, I am the head of the Sanctuary. For those who lived in the residential district that was affected the worst, I offer you refuge. If you need first aid, we will do our best to assist you. I'm afraid we can't do much when it comes to serious injuries without a real doctor, you'll need to seek professional medical help.
At the very least, we can give you a place to sleep and a hot meal. [Kate's throat tightens up on her and she glances off to the side again.] If you'll excuse me, I have some things to take care of. If you need us and can't get to us, simply call and we can send someone out to help you. If you can get here on your own, the front door is open.
