Of all the ridiculous overreactions I've seen in my time... Treating the Occupy protests like an armed rebellion is beyond ridiculous. Perhaps after Halloween I'll take a trip there to join it myself. Someone needs to make sure Oakland citizens are kept safe, since it clearly is no longer the priority of the Oakland police.

So...the beta batch went well. At least, considering, for a first go at the green thumb. But, uh, with all due respect to the underlings, I'm short on cash (fuckin' growing without cheating is expensive as shit as it turns out) so, I've got some chronic to unload. Any takers? My "other" is writing a self-help book. I found a half-done manuscript in "his" apartment. This is by far the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. "When in conflict with others, it's important to understand both sides and not take any rash actions."? I'm actually insulted. He could have finished this in far fewer words. "Conflict resolution is simple and easy. Step 1: Hit them. Step 2: If they fall, you win. Step 3: If not, repeat step 1 until they do." It isn't a hard concept!

Okay, this is officially the best thing I have seen in my entire life.

I'm goddamn antsy. Shit feels like a giant game of Big Brother or something...I don't know who to trust and who not to; I don't know how long I get to stay after this crazy twist before I'm out again...this sucks.

And, to top it off, there ain't shit to do and my van is gone so, my entire life is missing, now. Anybody got a Vonnegut book they're not reading? I'm bored as all hell.

Because I was in book store today and I saw the weirdest books, I swear, the names of the ghost hunting brothers were actually Sam and Dean. There was even one that took place in my hometown, but, uh, at that point I got freaked out and hopped on the network to ask this.

Here's an update on the camp groups. If you're not on it and you're supposed to be, drop me a comment here and I'll add you in. For those of you who are new and have no idea what I'm talking about, I've helped arrange a training camp based on learning a few tips and survival techniques by way of fighting demons and a few other supernatural aspects (mostly spirits, really) of this world. The apartment complex is as safe a place as any for those of you who are staying there, but if you're out in the city or if Lucifer decides to send up a horde of bad our way, the camp'll help you prep yourself for the worse case scenario. Let me know if you want in!

Hey guys, I'm new to town (not pulled through a magical seal! I came here in my car!) so I thought I'd throw a post up and introduce myself.

My name's Kat and I'm a journalism student at UNC Chapel Hill. I know about the supernatural thanks to Sam, Dean, and finding myself locked in a haunted asylum one night when I was seventeen, but I've only ever really hunted when I came across a problem and I was the only available ghost buster around. I heard about the apocalypse a couple months ago, deferred my enrollment for senior year, and headed off to help. It took me a little while to actually figure out where the fight was, but now that I'm here I'm here to help! I'm getting an apartment in town (I figure you need the complex space saved for the people who have nowhere else to go) and I'll be brushing up on what I do already know about hunting, and hopefully learning more.

If there's anything I can do to help out just let me know.

So I work at a grocoery store now, yeah? I swear the customers are the daftest ever. If I have one more ask me "do you work here?" No I wear this bloody awful uniform for my own amusement.

All right, so in case you newcomers didn't know: this guy? He's Lucifer. Yeah, I know, the Devil uses the internet and gets on to harass people, which is pretty stupid, but he's still the Devil and he can and will harm you if given the chance, so please make it in point to avoid talking to him. If he comments on your posts, ignore him. Though filtering away from him to begin with would really be the best way to avoid him altogether. If you need someone to show you how to filter, please don't hesitate to ask. I know some of you who come here aren't all too tech savvy and the boards can be pretty tricky as is, so help might be necessary in some of your cases here.

As a reminder, our Hunter 101 camp is going to start this Sunday. I've got the groups written up for those who signed up for it thus far, which I'll post below so you guys will know who's going with who and when that's happening. If you've taken an interest in joining up and have yet to do so, let me know here and I'll add you to the list.

Group one - you'll be the first to go for the full week of training, so be prepared to leave a little early to get to South Dakota by Sunday. Dawn informed me that she has transportation fit to carry four people with her, so if you do need a ride, make arrangements with her for a carpool.

An illegal alternative. My brother and I are relatively talented at piecing fake ID's together, which -- if used carefully -- can be used to help you get by in a number of situations. Any of you tech types looking to make some extra cash? I'm thinking about installing some kinda security system around my house. I've pissed off a lot of hunters and demons alike and, while I've got my place good and secured against demon and angel entry, I doubt a locked door is gonna stop a hunter from breaking into my place and trying to kill me and my wife.

I was thinking maybe I could spread a few cameras across the property and maybe put some kind of alarm into the house? It might run me a couple hundred bucks, but I'm willing to pay. And cheat at pool to get the money.

Also, as a heads up, I'm gonna be heading out of town this weekend. Dean? You up for a hunt?
