It seems that the Seal has decided to bring two more Asgardians here! The Lady Sif and an older version of myself.

There also seems to be a young woman here about my age who claims to be my daughter Torunn. Have either of you heard tales of her?

It's funny, really. Time passes and our perceptions of the past change. We often rewrite our histories, whether to ease our pains or to paint ourselves in a better light or for any of a myriad of reasons. We shape our own pasts and often it is the lies we tell ourselves that define us moreso than our truths. Honesty is such a difficult thing that we are rarely honest, even with ourselves.

And then, in an instant, we can remember. And know the truth about ourselves and the world. And, in that instance, everything changes and the way we see things is irrevocably altered. And we must reexamine ourselves and see if there is a way to fit into our old lives.

When the mayor's wife calls and asks if you'd like to be the event planner for funding the new children's library that they want to get off the ground it's hard to say no. Especially with all of the compliments about the charity ball for the children's wing at the hospital that I did last year.

I can totally do this on top of school. And family things.

I suggest anyone who does the stock market to look into the post-it notes one because I'm so buying out all of the ones I can find in the next few days. Idk how that thing actually works but yeah.

Displaced, you are all invited to celebrate Jólablót with us at my hall.

For those who are not familiar with our customs, we will feast for three days and three nights, to celebrate the rebirth of the Sun-goddess, Sól, and to give thanks to our mighty god Thor, for protecting us during the dark and dangerous days of winter, while his father, Óðinn, leads the Wild Hunt across the skies.

At dusk on Friday, we will perform the Jólablót and sacrifice the Jól goat. Afterwards, we feast, taking it's life into ourselves so that it may be resurrected through us.

Whether you are a believer or not, Jól is a time for friendship and rejoicing in life - sentiments which are not exclusive to my people.

You are all welcome at my hearth, on Friday, on Saturday, on Sunday and on any day in the new year.

Thor, my prince, I think the singing ball has given me something of yours. The disc on her collar says she is called Tanngrisnir. I suspect that is a name she has to grow into, however, so for now I will just call her Tanni.
