I should have told you sooner, but I've been struggling with it. I've been keeping a secret from everyone. I'm a vampire. I hadn't fed for a while, so the other night the temptation of blood in the medbay proved too much. If you notice, one bag is missing. I wanted to give you both my most sincere apologies. It was a big mistake on my part and I knew I had to take accountability.

Elena told me that you two are trustworthy people. I don't want to reveal what I am to the whole community. Not yet. I was hoping that you two would keep my secret at least for a little while. I'll find ways to keep my thirst in check without feeding on people or stealing. I understand if you don't want me working in the medbay. If you want me away from there I would gladly comply.

I apologize if Jelena starts calling you Nancy and asking about Prince Edward and Andalasia. She has been watching Enchanted and has decided that, despite knowing that people here have the same faces as those she knows, you are actually Nancy.

Why? Why am I always running into her? Every damn time I go to the medbay, it just happens to be when they are there. Every damn time. I either have the worst luck imaginable or karma is a bitch. On second thought I'm unlucky and karma is a bitch. And to make matters worse, there were apples seemingly everywhere outside the complex. Everywhere!

Hey, I was wondering when the best time to volunteer at the medbay would be?

Martha and I have been talking and the suggestion was made of making sure that the more powerful drugs, like morphine as an example, are kept under better lock and key given that there are those here who think they can self diagnose and what have you. To that effect I was contemplating asking one of the more tech-savvy people here to create some sort of lock that requires a fingerprint or a retinal scan of authorized medical staff only.

I have to say, reading about the Higgs boson particle is more than fascinating. The discoveries science has made since my day boggle my mind and continue to push the boundaries of my imagination. I am more than tempted to take some science courses, but I would not know where to even begin!
