Someone has a birthday today. He is one of my best friends and he is going to fuss at me for doing this. Too bad, Brucie-Bear, I love you.

Once Karen and I have appropriate clothing, we should go out and actually have fun.

Now that we're on this side of Thanksgiving, I'm ready for Christmas. But this? This is ridiculous.

Are you there, God? It's me, MJ. This isn't what I meant by dreaming of a white Christmas.

I'm sure most of us here weren't prepared for this sort of weather, so please let me know if you are in need of anything. I'm glad to run errands, pick up proper clothing, and help stock food.

I'm sure I'm not bringing up anything you all don't already know, but exactly how far have we gone trying to leave the Island? Not that I'm particularly in any hurry to get out of here, but it did occur to me that certain natural disasters can cause long term darkness covering the sun. I'm sure we would have noticed a volcano on our island but what if there was one nearby? Exactly how far out can we go?

If someone has kidnapped me, I'm warning you. I don't know karate or anything, but I have a strong set of lungs and I'm not afraid to bite or pepper spray you in the face.

Has anyone disappeared since the lightning storm let up? The lighting had no static charge so, just like I can't imagine our darkness is a true eclipse, I don't think that was your typical lightning either.

The problem is going to be trying to figure out if it's just the Island having its way again or if there's something genuinely wrong about our current climate. This place doesn't exactly have a high tech planetarium and observatory.

I've seen and been through a lot of shit in my time, but I've never woken up in a six bedroom bungalows on an island resort with a random cell phone, laptop, and $5000 to my name.

Actually, the randomly waking up in a strange place part isn't that unfamiliar to me, but it's the surprisingly pleasant environment that's out of the norm.
