I was supposed to meet Addie this morning for breakfast this morning and she's not here and she's pretty late and that isn't like her at all and I guess I'm just checking in and wondering if anyone has seen her because I can't keep losing people.

This place has gotten boring.

I'm taking Morgan to have some pictures with Santa to add to the already growing collection we've built since the holiday festivities started.

I'd really love to get everyone together for a family picture, too. I think it's become obvious that, in a way, we're an extended family here and Morgan will love having these as much as I would.

She is also insisting we make ornaments after hearing Karen was making her own Frosty. So, expect those for your presents but please don't tell her I told you.

Morgan also wants to have people over to make gingerbread people and houses. She is going for a, and I quote, "sunshine theme". I think she misses the beach sometimes.

I hate to keep pulling you away from work, but Morgan has specifically asked if the three of us could go sledding and have hot chocolate afterward. She really is loving all this time with you. I'm not having too bad of a time myself.

While our home is partially to blame for her newest interest, Morgan has been going through different National Holidays every month.

And every day.

She has made a special request for National Blueberry Muffin Day. Our kitchen is, at this time, overrun with muffins. We're not close to using up the rest of the batter, but she's already started planning the rest of the week. National French Fry Day and Macaroni and Cheese Day should be a hit.

Personally, I'm looking forward to Daiquiri Day next week.

I had forgotten how good it felt to meditate. I did it a lot as a kid but not so mucn in recent years. I'll have to keep it up.

I completely missed my own birthday, but in my defense, we were in a creepy forest filled with ghouls at the time. 18 honestly hasn't felt much different from 17, anyway.

I suppose it was foolish to expect my Solstice wish to come true, but it was difficult not to hope all the same.

We're closing the restaurant at 5 that day. We'll all meet up at Los Gatitos for Mexican food and adult beverages for those of you old enough to participate! Chips, queso, and guac will also be provided. I am not making anyone do a pinata or anything, but if they want to put a sombrero on her and sing to her in Spanish, who am I to say no??
