WHO: Lucia/Ma'at & Samuel/Thoth
WHEN: Saturday, February 26 | mid afternoon
WHERE: Starlight Diner
RATING High
Saturdays were Lucia's completely free days, the day she didn't have to work or take care of her grandmother. Lucia usually spent the day hanging out with friends or having lunch at the woman's shelter where she volunteered a few times a week. Lucia had planned to spend this Saturday shopping, instead she had lunch with Sam and that meant she was up and out of the house far earlier than she had intended. She had gone out with one of her best friends, Julia, the night before. Her friend had a strange idea that Lucia needed to date, needed a man to complete her life. It annoyed her but she loved her friend. She went out, watched Julia drink and flirt, then helped her friend home to bed. Just another typical Friday night. It was a beautiful day, Lucia loved the crisp cold almost spring air, it was her favorite time of the year. Ma'at, on the other hand hated it, she missed the heat and warmth of her homelands. The goddess was strangely quiet as Lucia navigated the sidewalk, Lucia wasn't sure what was going on with her but it didn't always bode well when the goddess was silent. She was contemplating something. Lucia had embraced the goddess fully as a teenager and had grown to understand Ma'at in ways that she never expected. Her path took her away from the shop where she had intended to stop and buy new a few pretty homemade bracelets. Lucia frowned and stopped at the corner for the light, her intention to cut across the street and back toward the shop. Just go to the Starlight Diner. Forget about shopping for the moment. Lucia frowned at Ma'at. Why would she go out of her way to a diner that she had never been before. I have a feeling. Ma'at couldn't explain the draw but the urge to be in a certain place was strong. Lucia sighed and rolled her eyes. Whatever, it wasn't like she couldn't use a cup of coffee. She followed the Goddess's direction and pulled open the door of the Diner, nearly crashing into a man who was near the door. She stepped back quickly and looked up. "Sorry." She mumbled. |
